Did you know…

This is major culprit of skin issues. Not THIS, since this is usually a big fixer. But it’s gross second cousin once removed is the problem.

Enough with the confusing family analogy!

Laundry detergent is a MASSIVE contributor to skin issues and most people have no idea.

Just think what would happen if we made cleaner laundry detergent, the norm. No more filling our bodies and environments with nasty chemicals and endocrine disrupting fragrances. No more smashing our faces into super yucky acne causing fabrics that cover our pillows for 5 to 8 hours a night. No more wrapping our bodies up in towels that are full of chemicals that can change our hormones right when we get out of the shower and our pores are still open ready to receive everything that touches our skin.

When we think of it like that… it makes a lot of sense!

When people come to me with skin issues, 90% of the time I ask what their laundry room looks like. 90% of those answers are the big red/orange container that is the thing that hits the California coastline and is currently causing damage.

Think about cleaning up your laundry routine. Not only will your clothing and linens not be filling your system up with yuckies, but your won’t be sending all of that back to our water supply.

Plus this laundry powder only takes 1T per load. If it’s your dog stuff, kids baseball stuff, or something super dirty, use 2T!

But at 1T this bag will give you 100+ loads of safe for your skin washing powder. At just $20 it ends up being a bigger bang for your buck than most of the chemical laden big box options.

Always know there are tiny steps to move toward cleaner and healthier options.

Day 3 BRICK -N- BARN

Outside artisans have some ahhhh maaaz ingness this month. My neighbor Michelle Marie Peterson has been hard at work. The flowers are beautiful. The treasures abound.

When you head into the barn the vintage vibe grabs on tight. Can you tell my favorites? I do keep that code easy to crack!

We are there from 9am-4pm.

Don’t forget my promo. Pop me a message here if you are an existing follower. Have your friends and family start following and any one of those things will get you entered into a gift card drawing.

You can also special order anything I don’t have on hand!

Christmas gift previews will happen here. Do keep a lookout!

BRICK -N- BARN day 2!

Like I said, things are looking a little different this time at the barn. Massively high heat for an extended period of time create inventory situations.

The great news is, if I don’t have exactly what you need on the table, you can turn it into a special order right then. You walk in the barn, pay for it, and I will deliver it in October. Not sure when… We have to see what this temperature and humidity situation does. But I promise you will get it before October 31.

Be sure to check out yesterday‘s post and hear about the promotion. I’m doing this weekend only. You’re welcome to share that info with friends and family, or you can just keep it for yourself.

Today we will be at the barn from 9 AM to 4 PM. Stop by and see us, it’s gonna be much cooler today!

Good morning BRICK -N- BARN

Things are gonna look a little different on my display today. Hopefully they’ll look even more different tomorrow because my fingers are crossed the temperature will cool down a little bit tonight and I can bring some other things for you.

I don’t know if you saw the report that came out in the last 48 hours, but it says that San Diego has had the hottest and most humid summer for the third time in the last 130 years. That is absolutely no joke!

With that brings production challenges for someone like me who doesn’t use any preservatives and lives in a house that was built in the 1950s. For the last four weeks. The average temperature in my home has been 84°. Most of my ingredients start to liquid by 78°, so you understand the challenge.

But with the impossible brings new opportunity! And the new opportunity this weekend is gift certificates!

If you are an existing follower, feel free to hop on over to TikTok and start following me there or just send me a direct message on this page and let me know that you saw this video. You are welcome to share this post with any friends or family so they can get in on the gift drawing fun. And come Monday I will be drawing four $25 gift certificates to be used with me directly. Great little jumpstart to holiday shopping, or to grab your favorite product.

Thanks for following along Friend and for the constant support. As you know, this is how I pay my bills and Kash and I live our entire life. So I appreciate your patronage more than you know.

How it started.

How it ended.

Just a heads up… certain conditions are not conducive to anything.

This super hot and humid weather is not what you want when packaging candy.

So it’s going to be a few more days until this deliciousness can be complete.

What’s up Wednesday

Dude

The key has been trippin!

For a few weeks it’s been fussy. Not always unlocking easily. Certain buttons not doing their thing. Did all the troubleshooting.

Must be the battery. Replace with battery from fridge. Maybe they are old. Buy new batteries.

Thing stopped working completely.

Research programmers. Order programmer.

For 3 days it was leave the car unlocked or use the manual key at the door and let the alarm go off until the fob went in the ignition.

Then this little box of greatness arrived.

In less than 10 minutes from opening the box I had 2 fobs programmed.

Lesson for the day. Take a minute. Do things you’ve never done. Save yourself $500!

Lilac cleansing scrub.

Summer series! A little mica to get you feeling like you are surrounded by lilacs.

The cleansing scrub does just that! Exfoliation. Clean. Skin left soft AND moisturized. It’s kind of awesome!

I’ve got a handful of these beauties and guess what, the fall series is going to start this weekend.

Stop by BRICK -N- BARN to see the apple c***r, forest pink, and maybe a little pumpkin something there too.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, guess where I’ll be!

I think the code is pretty easy to crack 😆

It’s my final stop at Brick n Barn in 2026.

I will have some fun new products for you guys to pick from. Your tried and true favorites in regular and super sizes. Some great things to take home to keep your wellness levels high. Those just in case I need a quick hostess gift perfect gems. And a preview of holiday gifts.

Be sure to hit me up right away if you wanted any refill Jars. Some of those take a few days once they’re made, so the sooner the better!

There will be lots of other great vendors there too. I included a rad pic that Michelle Marie Peterson posted of a beauty she just made.

Jane‘s kitchen will be there with all of their deliciousness and of course my boy has already told me I need to bring home his favorite, boysenberry muffins.

Be sure to take a little drive to Valley Center and come visit us from 9 to 5 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

And if you’re not sure what day to come, follow their page to see what food vendors they will have for lunch. But I will tell you, Saturdays is probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had!

Fraud.

You guys having a lot of fraud?

I hopped online today. Saw an unfamiliar transaction, checked for any email receipts. Looked up the pending name and saw LOTS of people saying a fraudulent recurring $34.99 charge had been on their accounts.

Bank didn’t catch this one.

But dude. It seems like every 4-8 weeks I’m getting at least 1 new card. I don’t even know my card numbers anymore because the fraud is so prevalent.

Stay diligent. Check your accounts and let’s hope they start getting these people.

Surgery day for this one!

Please send her all the good thoughts. She is the most extra fancy pup I’ve had. She had a skin flare up we have been working on the last month so that she can have surgery since the incision will be on her knee, a flared area.

What we thought was a jammed toe nail was actually a torn ACL.

So yes please on all the good energy!
