Started with a passion of off-roading, DFM slowly grew from a place to post wheeling trips to a full-fledged off-road specific media company. The LS swapped Ford Ranger prerunner build rolls on! This week we're mounting the 10" McNeil Racing flat top bedsides on the rear, plus a recap of last week's work on the front and rear end.

Last week's recap:
Painted the Equal Length Race Beams
Installed the front race snouts and 2.5" Camburg race hubs
Welded up the rear 3.5" full float housing and got it mounted in the truck

This week:
Mounting the 10" McNeil Racing flat top bedsides on the rear
ABOUT THE EQUAL LENGTH RACE BEAMS
Fully re-engineered equal length beam kits for race or play. CAD designed, 4130 construction, with steering geometry corrected for 37-40" tires. Adjustable camber and more ground clearance than the competition, race tested with a MORE Offroad desert championship. Available for Ford Ranger and OBS F150 chassis, or custom fit to whatever you've got. Email for more info or custom builds!

I’m absolutely excited for this in-cab transformation with the help of PRP Seats! The old suspension seats were cool but my back was saying otherwise 😂

After FOX Powered Vehicles re-valved the shocks and added some other sauce into the bypasses we were hitting bumps and jumps with way more speed and that was the point the old suspension seats became dangerous because they’re not designed for that type of driving.

These Bravo PRP Seats are just the perfect solution to that problem! These will help keep me and the passenger in a more fixed position. The stiff design locks our spine and pelvis into a focused, upright driving position.

The RC Fabrication shifter is a bonus detail that adds even more style points to the in-cab look. Available on his website!

This truck has some good history in the off-road world! Let’s go over the build 👇

1999 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L TRD Supercharger, manual transmission, 4wd, cage work bumper to bumper is chromoly and 100% tig welded.

Engine:
3.4L with 150k miles. TRD headers, TRD Supercharger, URD calibration box, Larger injectors,255 LPH fuel pump, URD SuperGrip Crankshaft Pulley, URD smaller supercharger pulley, lightweight flywheel, also have all the stock parts if wanted to switch back.

Front:
2.5 King Coilover, 2.5 King Bypass, 2.5 King bump stop shocks fully serviced and tuned by Downsouth Motorsports. Custom 4.5 over long travel race kit with working 4wd and Tundra steering rack. 35” Mickey Thompson tires cut and grooved with new 17” Raceline monster beadlocks. 3 Baja Designs Soltek lights

Interior:
2 new PRP podium suspension seats with 5 point harnesses. 100% of the oem interior is still intact with working cluster. PCI radio and intercom with headsets. Large lowrance GPS integrated into the cage. Heater works great A/C works just need 1 line custom made and it would work.

Rear suspension:
2.5 King Coilover, 2.5 King Bypass, 2.5 King bump stop shocks fully serviced and tuned by Downsouth Motorsports. 33 gallon fuel cell with OEM fuel pump, Cone Industries Full Float housing, 2.5 hubs and swaybar. 4.88 race gears and load bolt 3rd member case and Detroit locker. 35” Mickey Thompson tires cut and grooved with new 17” Raceline monster beadlocks and one spare tire that lays down in the cage for a clean side profile look held down with a 3 point Speed Strap. 2 brand new AGM Full Throttle batteries

Extra Parts:
2 additional 17” Raceline monster beadlocks and one 35” Mickey Thompson tires cut and grooved. I had plans of converting the front to locking Manuel 4wd hubs but didn’t do it so I have the parts for that swap, all the stock motor parts, all the smog stickers for the TRD parts, dry sump kit, extra gears, rear facing light bar, seat pads, and some random oew parts.
