A broken cake layer creates exactly the wrong kind of excitement.

A parchment circle protects the bottom of the cake and helps the entire layer release cleanly.

Grease the cake pan, place a parchment circle in the bottom, then lightly grease the parchment before adding the batter.

After baking, let the cake cool in the pan for approximately 10 minutes. Loosen the edges with a knife and turn the layer out.

You can cut your own circles but I buy mine pre-cut because I have better things to do. I linked the ones I use in my bio. ✂️ 🎂

Two wholesale orders.

One box is headed to a new retailer in Franklin, Tennessee. Belle Maison 🇫🇷

The other was hand-delivered to House of Shan, a new Austin boutique.
House of Shan donates $5 from each clothing sale to charities supporting women and children, so watching Pink Champagne land on her shelves felt especially good.

Sift is officially in the wild in another Austin location and making its way to Tennessee.
