Well… the birdies sold! 😂🐦

I only managed to get these two finished in time, but I have about 10 more little weirdos waiting to be finished. So apparently I’ll be making more birds. 😂

There was also a LOT of interest in the stained glass plants! 🌱💚 Now I’m wondering… should I add more glass plants to the collection? Different shapes? Different colors? More succulents? 👀

All in all, it was a really good event! Sales were good, I had some great conversations, and met some really cool people. ❤️

Now back to the studio to finish all those birds… 😂🐦

Well, this was fun 😂

I got a little distracted making some ridiculous scrap-glass birds, but now I really need to get back to work!

I still have about 7 pieces to clean, foil, solder, and finish… and THREE of them haven’t even been cut yet. 😬

Back to the grind!

At least the butterfly, bat, and pumpkin are coming along. 🦋🦇🎃

Sometimes the beads are just too pretty to stay in a box. 😍

I’ve had these roach clip/bracelet helpers sitting around and finally pulled out some of my lampwork beads and started putting them together. I love how each one turned out completely different — a little collection of color, texture, and years of bead making all in one useful little tool.

And yes, they’re roach clips in the old-school sense — made to hold onto your doobie when it gets a little too short for your fingers. 😂🌿 But they also make a surprisingly handy bracelet helper when you’re trying to fasten a bracelet by yourself.

Two uses, one very pretty little tool. ✨

I had so many doubts about this one… from the glass color choices to the (for me 😅) semi-difficult cuts. More than once I questioned whether it was going to turn out the way I imagined.

But I’m so glad I pushed through, because I absolutely love how it came together so far, I still need to clean foil and solder. 💜✨ And the iridescent glass catches the light in the prettiest way—it was definitely worth using.

Will I make another one?

…Probably not. 😂

Sometimes a piece is worth the challenge, even if it reminds you why you don’t usually choose those kinds of cuts.
