To my Tiny Umbrella Family:
These last few weeks have been chaos in my cocktail umbrella world. Crazy to say right? With the new implemented tariffs on goods imported from overseas, my business is directly impacted…and that just stinks. I have tried to see a way around, out, through and currently it’s not clear. The day to day uncertainty is wild.
The Current Situation👉🏻I have one last shipment of shiny new umbrellas scheduled to arrive any day now, with a possible 125% tariff added on. I am not exactly sure how the government will code my products and the exact percentage, but based on the last 7 years of being in business, it’s that much or possibly more…(I was last told 134%) This is not a sustainable business model for a small business like mine.
What I am doing about it: 👉🏻I will continue to sell my current in-stock umbrellas and new ones that will arrive at the same friendly price and try my best not to raise the cost. If I do have to do that, I will give ample notice before the price increase. I will no longer be taking custom cocktail umbrella orders for the time being, and any current orders will be fulfilled per our contracts- no worries there!
I am hoping to navigate this new landscape of politics with grace, but you may see a change in The Tiny Umbrella the next few months.
The sad part👉🏻I will not be re-ordering or re-stocking umbrellas after this shipment, so stock up on all the umbrellas you can now, (with new ones to post soon.) Get all your umbrella orders in, in the next week if you want a piece of The Tiny Umbrella in your home⛱️
This is not the end, just a pause…(I still have other fun products online) and I love you all so very much for the support you have shown me and my fun business over the years!! ⛱️Jen
