I’ve been setting on a couple of projects for a long while trying to find the inspiration to create something special for these two friends. This one just wanted a plain, simple vintage brown seat. I knew he’d like to have more but just didn’t want to ask it because he knew I was already out of my comfort zone with this one. He’s the kinda guy that really enjoys classic history. So with that I had to really push myself into paying homage to the original style of seat that was on this old Moto Guzzi. Somewhere along the way it was reupholstered with the diamond pattern long ago. So it was time to bring this old seat back to life. Pics of the original sear and original style included. The new seat is made with American Bison and the color is called coffee bean.

Had the opportunity to take Aaron Heiser’s, from Maker’s Leather Supply, backpack class this weekend. It was a great class and picked up several little tips and tricks that will be incorporated into my work occasionally. If you get the chance to take a class with him, I’d say jump on it for sure.
