The Virgil Finesse Glass Fly Rod Blank is built where fly fishing isn’t just a pastime—it’s a way of life. Handcrafted in Montana, USA, exclusively for Virgil Rod Company, each blank carries the feel and tradition of the rivers that made the sport what it is.

This build is from my personal Q-Bar collection—an 8’6” 6-weight, 3-piece paired with a Lemke LC1 reel seat and finished with Lemke brown and white agate stripping guides. A rod that feels equally at home on a quiet spring creek or a broad Western river.

Only a limited number of Virgil Finesse Glass blanks remain in stock. Joining them is the new Virgil Classic Glass series in traditional yellow—also handcrafted in Montana, where cold rivers, wild trout, and generations of anglers have shaped the heritage of fly fishing.
