There’s something HEALING about being in the right room of WOMEN.

Women who inspire you.
Women who support you.
Women who remind you that ambition and well-being can exist together.

That’s one of the things I love most about Collective Women’s Leadership Scottsdale.

It’s not just networking.
It’s connection.
It’s growth.
It’s meaningful conversations around leadership, wellness, business, purpose, and life.

And honestly… spaces like this matter more than ever right now.

Because so many women are carrying businesses, careers, families, responsibilities, transitions, and big dreams all at the same time.

We need rooms where we can feel energized instead of drained.
Inspired instead of pressured.
Seen instead of performing.

I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by women who genuinely want to see each other grow, succeed, and thrive not just professionally, but personally too.

More spaces like this. More conversations like this. More community like this ✨

Tag a woman who’s been that kind of space for you lately 🤍

45 minutes.

That's how long it takes most facilities to manage a single agitation episode. De-escalation. Charting. Meds. Convincing someone who's already upset to take a pill they don't want. Sometimes a doctor's order. Sometimes an injection.

45 minutes. One resident. One staff member pulled away from everyone else.

Our clinical aromatherapy protocol takes 30 seconds to apply. And five minutes or less to calm.

No prescription. No injection. You don't even have to touch them which, if you've ever tried to help someone who's escalated and doesn't want to be touched, you know how much that matters.

It works that fast because the nose is a superhighway to the brain. Scent doesn't go through the digestive system. It doesn't wait. The moment they start breathing it in, the brain's emotional center is already responding.

If you work in care, if you've been in that room at 3am trying to help someone who's agitated and afraid, this one's for you. You deserve better tools. Not more paperwork. Not more steps. A protocol that takes 30 seconds and gives you your power back.

What does your hardest shift moment look like? Tell me below. I want to hear from the people actually doing this work. 👇

This is the tool I reach for between meetings, after hard conversations, and before every facility visit.

My AromaStick is the simplest thing I've ever created that makes the biggest difference.

Here's how it works: pure essential oil blend loaded into a pocket-sized personal inhaler. No water. No diffuser. No setup. You uncap it, take one intentional breath, and your nervous system begins to respond. Three seconds. That's it.

Scent is the only sense that bypasses the thalamus and reaches the limbic system directly. That means what you inhale can start shifting your stress response before your brain finishes the thought it was stuck on.

I designed these for the people who don't have time for a wellness routine in the middle of a shift. The CNA who needs to reset between rooms. The therapist who needs grounding between sessions. The director who takes three breaths in the hallway before a family meeting. Or just anyone who needs a reset anytime of the day.

Available individually or in bulk for clinical teams and facilities. White-label options available with your organization's branding.

DM me STICK to find the right blend, or tap the link in the comments to grab yours.

Your reset should fit in your pocket. This one does. 🌿

Shining Through the Years. I love this year's Assisted Living Week theme because it's not about one moment. It's about consistency.

The communities I've worked with that genuinely shine? They don't rest on what's working. They keep asking what could be better. Better for residents. Better for staff. Better for the families trusting them with someone they love.

Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of building clinical aromatherapy programs inside senior living communities across the country. I've watched care teams transform their environments not because a regulation required it, but because they believed their residents deserved it.

That's what shining through the years actually means. Not perfection. Just a relentless commitment to caring better tomorrow than you did today.

Happy Assisted Living Week to every leader, caregiver, and team member reading this. You are the reason your community shines. ❤️

We live in a world that won't stop talking about how things look. This reel is about what actually matters.

Your presence. Your compassion. How you treat people when nobody's watching. The energy you bring into a room before you say a single word. These are the things that stay with people long after they forget what you were wearing.

I think about this a lot in my work. I've spent over a decade building clinical aromatherapy programs inside senior living communities and care environments. The entire job is built around something invisible. The air. The scent. The feeling of walking into a space that was designed to support your nervous system without you even realizing it.

Nobody sees the lavender diffusing in a memory care hallway at midnight. Nobody photographs the AromaStick a nurse keeps in her pocket for the hard moments between rooms. But the residents feel it. The families sense it. And the staff carry it with them.

The invisible things are always the most powerful ones.

What's something you value about yourself that has nothing to do with how you look? Drop it below. 🌿

Save this carousel for your team before Assisted Living Week starts September 13th. These five shifts are small, but your residents and staff will notice every single one.

Most communities celebrate with a banner and a cake. Nothing wrong with that. But the communities I admire most go further. They use the week as a catalyst for something lasting.

These five ideas aren't expensive. They don't require extra staffing. They just require intention.

Slide 4 is the one I get asked about most: how scent can shift the entire energy of a care environment. If you're curious about that, my DMs are open.

Save this. Share it with your activities director. And have a beautiful Assisted Living Week.

Some of the best wellness decisions you'll ever make don't look like wellness decisions at all.

Like flipping over that "calming lavender" plug-in and reading what's actually in it. Or asking whether the candle you light every evening is doing more harm than the stress it's supposed to relieve.

Gold star behaviour in our world looks like choosing what you breathe as carefully as you choose what you eat. Pure essential oils. Disclosed ingredients. A space that smells beautiful and supports wellbeing at the same time.

Not because fragrance is the enemy. Because what's in the fragrance matters.

Which one did you give yourself a gold star for? Or which one just made you pause and check the label? Tell us below.

People only post their wins on socials, so here's some of my flops as a clinical aromatherapist and business founder of over a decade.

I built AromaWell from a deeply personal place. I've spent 13 years working inside senior living communities, memory care units, and hospice facilities building clinical aromatherapy programs that genuinely change how people feel in those spaces. I'm proud of that work. The Benedictine partnership. The McKnight's Award. The residents who ask for lavender by name before they ask for medication.

But here's what I don't post enough:

The website I've been meaning to overhaul for longer than I'll admit. The newsletter I ghost my own subscribers with. The social media silence I let stretch for months while companies selling synthetic fragrance posted daily. The pitch meeting where I froze when someone called my product "a chemical bottle." The empty diffuser sitting on my own desk right now.

I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I know there's another founder, another director, another woman running a business on passion and persistence who thinks everyone else has it figured out.

They don't. I don't.

The difference between a flop and a failure is whether you keep going. I keep going.

Now your turn. Drop your biggest recent flop in the comments. Business, personal, whatever. No judgment here. Just real people being honest about the messy middle.

My job description sounds like a felony and I'm not even sorry about it.

Enter restricted care facilities. Alter the air supply. Change people's brain chemistry through inhalation. Reduce their dependency on controlled substances. Leave no trace. Collect payment.

I've been a clinical aromatherapist for over a decade. That description is technically accurate, and I'm keeping it.

But in all seriousness, this is the work I get to do every day. I build clinical aromatherapy programs inside senior living communities, memory care units, hospice environments, and healthcare facilities. The "brain chemistry" line isn't a joke. Scent is the only sense that bypasses the brain's central relay station and connects directly to the limbic system, the region that governs emotion, memory, and stress response. A well-chosen essential oil blend can begin shifting a resident's nervous system within seconds.

The "controlled substances" line isn't far off either. Our partner communities have documented reduced reliance on PRN medications after implementing aromatherapy protocols. Staff reach for the blends first. Residents ask for them by name.

All with 100% pure essential oils. No synthetics. No undisclosed ingredients. Just nature, applied with clinical precision.

So yes. I alter air supplies for a living. And I love every second of it.

If your job description also sounds suspiciously criminal when you strip out the context, I want to hear it. Drop yours in the comments.
