Death is one of those things that happens in life-Every life- that can completely change a person. For the good, or for the worst. No one can prepare you for how it is going to affect you, or how you are going to react. Some people do a complete 180 from what path they were on, some finding their path that works for them and some falling off it. One thing is for sure, it changes something in you.
It could be the death of a parent, sibling, loved one, friend, pet, or long relationship. All these things can change you, all are things you grieve. And grief has five stages that are not talked about enough. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.
The crazy part? Not everyone goes through each of them and not in order. Sometimes they change up on you too. There is also a stage no one tells you about- Relief. This is for those who were suffering, for the ones who stood beside them battling things like cancer. Death feels like a relief because the fight with death was a long hard one and finally there is a victor. Some see this feeling as a bad thing. It’s not.
I make this post because my personal life has been full of ups and downs, and for the past few years we have had multiple deaths in the family. Deaths of parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, uncles, and animals. We have dealt with heart disease, cancer, lung failure, multiple organ failure, and old age… Now I don’t say this to get pity, I say this to help you understand that the direction of my page is changing, and why I had stopped posting for so long.
I want to continue to post, giving you Witchy content, however I am opening the space for those who have loss people in their lives and who are struggling with it.
If you wish to stay, you are always welcomed.
If this is not the space you wish to be,
Bless be our parting until we meet again.
If you are new to my space.
Welcome.
One of the things changing is the name,
While we will continue to journey into the Spirit
We will be re-branding as The Veiled Hedge.
For those of us on this side of the Hedge
Only able to glimpse into the Veil.
I am Phoenix,
Rising from the Ashes.
Bless be.
