{Flower Friday} this week about a layering of things that we accumulate over the month we are here. A gathering of plants and herbs and stems and fruits to bring life to our dining room, which is the center/heart of the house. We walk through the space all throughout the day, so I like it to be extra visual, where our eyes are given a treat wherever they land. We bought a bunch of geraniums the first week we arrived. This one was the tallest and works perfectly at the end of the table where this vignette began. A bundle of mint found yesterday from the Six Hands Farm Store in a vintage beaker from Red Chair. Meyer lemons, our favorite, a gift from our friend Audra. The peonies have yet to bloom in the front of the house, so TPS clipped one for me to play with. It is living on top of the book stack. We have two big asparagus ferns in the living room that get super leggy, which we really love, but often one stem gets cut and called into action in another room. A vintage bottle fit the bill and it lives on top of the white metal shelf adding a green in an unexpected place. While none of it has actually flowered, the combo brings buckets of joy from pretty simple things. Everyone have a fab last weekend in May! XX, T2+H
