To celebrate let’s take a look inside Uwajimaya Seattle at 422 Main Street. 📸

After World War II, our founder, Fujimatsu Moriguchi, and his family relocated Uwajimaya to Seattle. The store at 422 Main St. operated from 1945 to 1970 before moving to South King st.

These photos capture scenes from inside the store, from the senbei display, miso, dishes, and more. A small glimpse into everyday shopping at Uwajimaya during that time.
