Although I did not walk away with physical awards, I did…

•Walk away more confident than before
•Accomplished my biggest pageant yet
•Set up fundraisers doing what I love
•Made lots of new friends
•Made my childhood dream come true
•Met some of my role models

And plenty more!

I truly could not be more proud of myself for doing something way out of my comfort zone. I have had my eye on this pageant for over a year and a half and have put so much hard work into being here this weekend. Thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours of work, and countless pep talks- all done by myself. I am now confident in saying that I know how I want to approach the pageant next year.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey. I never get upset for the situations I am in but I have always struggled with feeling that I am letting people down. I have especially felt this today as I had so many of you cheering me on this weekend. I have to remind myself that making people proud does not equal my self worth. I am glad that this experience is making me get uncomfortable with these feelings so that I can correct it. Again, I seriously can not thank everyone enough for buying from my fundraisers, giving encouraging words, and letting me know how proud you are of me.

I also want to show my absolute gratitude for the Vanbros and Associates Inc. organization. This is one of the best run pageants I have ever competed in and the entire production team was so lovely. They made us all feel loved and welcomed the entire weekend. I hope to become one of your vanbros girls one day.

To all my fellow contestants- I could not be more proud of you all. Whether this was your first pageant or you are a seasoned pro, you all showed up and put so much hard work into this weekend. I am so thankful for the bonds I have made with girls all across the state. You all inspire me. And of course congratulations to sweet Scarlet. I know that she will be an absolute amazing representative of Illinois. I will be cheering you on all year long!

✨✨Preliminaries✨✨

•During the preliminary portion of the competition I competed in active wear and evening gown! My favorite part of competing is always the on stage portions when I get to show of my hard work. This was the first time I had ever competed in active wear and I loved it! I have made so many new friends and I am having so much fun this weekend.

•I am so excited to say that my interview went amazingly! I am so happy to have been able to share my passions with the judges and all the activities I do within my community. No matter what the outcome is tomorrow, I am at peace and so very proud of myself for stepping into something I was not so sure of doing. Overall, I want this experience to teach me lessons I will take back home.

And…. I’m off!!

I am currently on my way to Bloomington to check into my hotel! I am very excited for what this weekend will hold for me. No matter the placing, I am so proud of myself for putting my goals into action and signing up for this pageant.

As I was getting packed up today, I thought back to when I first started getting into pageantry two years ago. I would watch youtube videos of girls vlogging their weekends at big pageants like Miss Teen USA. I couldn’t help but admire how accomplished and poised these women were. My 14 year old self made up her mind then and there that somehow, this small town girl was going to make it on a stage that big. I am hoping that this weekend will be a testament to my 14 year old self that when you work hard enough, any dream can become a possibility.

I hope to make you all proud this weekend ❤️👑

All delegates will will be featured in an Opening Fashion Runway Introduction and compete in the
Preliminary Activewear/Swimsuit and Preliminary Evening Gown Competitions

CORONATION SHOW
SUNDAY, MAY 24, 2026 • 3:00 PM
All delegates will be featured in an Opening Fashion Runway Introduction. Delegates with the
highest composite scores from the Preliminary Interview, Active Wear/Swimsuit, and Evening Gown
Competitions will be announced as Semi-Finalists and compete in the Semi-Final Activewear/Swimsuit
and Semi-Final Gown Competitions narrowing the field to our Finalists. After the Finalist On Stage
Interviews, we will say farewell to our reigning titleholders, present some special awards, and crown
MISS ILLINOIS USA 2026 and MISS ILLINOIS TEEN USA 2026

On Wednesday, I had the amazing opportunity to spend the day at our beautiful Illinois state capitol in Springfield for Youth Day. I want to thank Shelby Electric Cooperative for sponsoring two students from Shelbyville High School for this event.

As you can see on my shirt, the tagline of the event was "Making your Mark". This day left me with a better understanding of what all I can do for my community. I now have even more confidence to give back to the
community that has given so much to me!

I had the honor to meet and talk with Steve McClure who is Illinois state's 54th district senator. I got to speak with him about what bills he hopes to get passed in the future and the topics he is currently fighting for. It helped me to get a better understanding of what us as voters can do to make a change within our politics.

Another highlight of my day was getting to have Illinois state's treasurer, Michael Frerichs. He spoke with us about his job as state treasurer and encouraged us to always work hard to achieve our goals in life. While answering the question " What is your favorite part about your job", he said that he loved getting exposure to new places and people. His example for this just happened to be Shelbyville's own Chautauqua building! He said that he had never heard of anything like it, and he was very intrigued in keeping it protected.

At the end of the day we got to visit The Abraham Lincoln Presidential museum. I had a fun time looking at all of the exhibits and learning about our 16th president.

Again I want to thank Shelby Electric Cooperative for serving their members and investing in the future of their community!
