GOOD NEWS! Ridge Camp will NOT be closed to campers next summer, so go right ahead & book your stay at Cook Forest Ridge Camp (or anywhere in our gorgeous area!) for 2027!!
Earlier this year, the Park planned to close the campground completely next summer for refurbishments, but will instead do the construction in phases so your favorite place to spend your summer vacation is actually available to you!!

DCNR plans to replace aging shower houses and restroom facilities at Cook Forest State Park with modern, accessible amenities while keeping the park and Ridge Campground open throughout construction…

UPDATE: the power is back and we are still open until 4pm!
Yes, the power is out, but we ARE OPEN! We have the generator on, and while it's a little darker inside than usual, we are open until 4 like usual!

UPDATE: route 899 is re-opened!

We are open today, Monday June 22 (our usual hours of 11am - 4pm), but route 899 is currently closed due to a large tree down between us and the Clarington bridge. Please use our route 36 entrance, and be aware of the road closure. We'll update when the road reopens!
