Godetia is especially well suited to the cooler growing conditions of the Pacific Northwest. It thrives in cool weather and can struggle when exposed to prolonged heat, particularly during flowering. In warmer parts of the country, including much of the southern United States, Godetia may not perform as well during the hotter growing season. In those areas, gardeners may have better success growing it during the cooler months or providing some protection from intense afternoon heat. 🌿🌤️

🌱 PLANTING TIP: Fall can be an excellent time to sow Godetia in regions with suitable winter conditions. Direct sow the seed where you want it to grow, as Godetia generally does best when planted directly rather than transplanted. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil and keep the seedbed evenly moist during germination.
Godetia prefers cool growing conditions, so timing is especially important in warmer climates. In the Pacific Northwest and other areas with mild, cool growing seasons, fall planting can give plants a valuable head start. In hotter regions, consider growing Godetia during the cooler part of the year rather than expecting it to thrive through summer heat. 🌿🌧️
