Hey everyone!
Over the last few weeks I've been gathering old iron, vintage lace, forgotten keys, dried flowers from my own garden that I've lovingly grown, harvested, and dried, along with moss, feathers, and other little pieces of history.
Slowly, they've been finding new life as one-of-a-kind creations inspired by folklore and the changing seasons.
You'll see a few of my newest pieces here:
✨ Two cast iron crosses adorned with dried botanicals and antique nails
✨ Moss-filled keepsake bottles tucked with natural treasures
✨ A restored vintage frame blooming with roses
✨ A lantern transformed into a tiny woodland scene
One of the things I love most about folklore is that ordinary objects often carried extraordinary meaning.
The cross has long represented faith and Christianity, but across many European folk traditions it also became a symbol of protection, hope, safe passage, and the meeting place of heaven and earth.
Crosses were often placed above doorways, in fields, and within homes as symbols of blessing and protection.
The old iron nail carries its own story.
For centuries, iron was believed to ward away misfortune and harmful spirits, while the nail itself represented strength, endurance, and the ability to hold together what matters most. Together, they become a quiet reminder of resilience, protection, love, and the beauty of enduring through life's seasons.
Every piece I create is completely unique. I don't begin with a finished design. Instead, I let the materials tell me their story, and somehow they always seem to find one another.
