🚨 BREAKING NEWS — OCTOBER 9, 2026 🚨

Today marks a HISTORIC victory for gun owners, suppressor enthusiasts, and the fi****ms industry!

The Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi***rms and Explosives (ATF) has officially announced that, effective IMMEDIATELY, it will no longer require federal NFA approval or registration for certain fi****ms and devices!

🔥 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Effective October 9, 2026, the ATF will no longer require mandatory Form 1, Form 3, or Form 4 approvals or NFA registration for:

✅ Suppressors (Silencers)

✅ Short-Barreled Ri**es (SBRs)

✅ Short-Barreled Sh****ns (SBSs)

✅ Any Other Weapons (AOWs)

That’s right. The federal government is no longer requiring individuals to go through the traditional NFA approval and registration process for these items under its newly announced enforcement policy!

💥 HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Earlier this year, a federal court ruled against the enforcement of several National Fi***rms Act requirements following Congress’s elimination of the making and transfer taxes on these items.

While that court ruling initially applied only to certain parties, the ATF has now announced it will extend its non-enforcement policy NATIONWIDE!

🇺🇸 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR GUN OWNERS?

✔️ No mandatory federal NFA registration for these items.

✔️ No mandatory ATF Form 4 approval before transferring a suppressor.

✔️ No mandatory Form 1 approval before making an SBR.

✔️ No more waiting months for federal NFA transfer approval under this policy.

✔️ The $200 making and transfer tax has already been eliminated for these items.

⚠️ IMPORTANT DETAILS

This does NOT eliminate federal background check requirements, FFL recordkeeping obligations, or applicable state and local laws.

Machine guns and destructive devices remain subject to the existing NFA requirements.

Additionally, this is an ATF enforcement policy, not a complete repeal of the National Fi***rms Act.

Important Update Regarding Virginia’s Assault Weapon Ban and Old Dominion Armaments stance.

As many of you have likely seen, an injunction went into effect today that limits enforcement of Virginia’s new Assault Weapon Ban.

While we understand what the injunction is intended to do, there is still too much gray area for us to confidently proceed with transfers of fi****ms that may fall under the law. Until we receive clearer guidance that leaves little room for interpretation, Old Dominion Armament will temporarily pause transfers of fi****ms classified under the Assault Weapon Ban.

Suppressor transfers are NOT affected and will continue as normal.

We know this may be frustrating, and we truly appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this situation. Our goal has always been to operate responsibly while continuing to serve our customers.

We remain hopeful that this legal process will ultimately protect the rights of Virginia’s law-abiding gun owners. Thank you for standing with us, and we’ll provide updates as soon as we have clearer guidance.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING VIRGINIA FI****MS LEGISLATION 🚨

Due to upcoming Virginia legislation taking effect July 1, 2026, Old Dominion Armament will no longer be accepting incoming fi***rm transfers after Sunday, June 14, 2026.

If you have already purchased a fi***rm and it is being shipped to us, but is not expected to arrive before June 14th, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to work with you on a solution.

Any fi***rm that arrives after June 14th without prior arrangements having been made will be returned to the sender. The customer will be responsible for any return shipping costs incurred.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: We are not responsible for any fi****ms left in our possession after July 1, 2026. Any fi***rm that remains at Old Dominion Armament after that date cannot be transferred to you, transferred to another individual, or returned to the manufacturer. The fi***rm will remain in the possession of Old Dominion Armament until we determine the appropriate legal process for handling and/or returning these fi****ms.

If you currently have a fi***rm awaiting pickup, please contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements. We will not be individually reaching out to customers, as many distributors and manufacturers only provide a customer name and do not provide contact information.

We appreciate your understanding during this time and remain hopeful that this unnecessary legislation is overturned or amended in the near future.
