The Pirate Queen came out! It is the one I posted about a few weeks ago and how excited I was to read it!

Sometimes historical fiction, when based off of real people, get me lost in the characters and the descriptions, but Ariel Lawhon did a fantastic job of introducing the characters with the story. So the read was easy, youā€™re caught up in the adventure of a real life woman pirate who lived during the 16th century in Ireland. It is a fabulous book! I loved it!

Tempest is another Pirate book but is a romantasy book. It is about Cat, formerly known as Lady Cathrine, but she lost her fortune and eventually became the Widow Rose, Queen of a pirate tavern. In comes Valerian Kane, the Pirate captainā€¦.such a good base to a fantastic romance with adventure, love and it looks like even betrayalā€¦is she going to turn in that handsome pirate or lose her life?

Wicked Endeavors is another romantasy that came out regarding a teen who pushes her way into an elite society of witches until it was wiped out. As an 18 year old, she is ready for revenge!

The Witches of Cambridge is a highly anticipated book about two women in 1950 Massachusetts who join a secret group of witches called the Lilith Society. Alice Hoffman is the author of Practical Magic.

Pictures of You is a twisted horror story about a young woman who is trapped in an artists work. If she escapes, there is a chance she and her boyfriend will be hurt or trapped forever.

Morgan, Dark Lord Reformed, sounds hilarious. Itā€™s about a Dark Lord who wants to spend the rest of his days as a goat farmer, but he finds himself leading a rebellion against himself šŸ˜‚

The Dark Lordā€™s Guide to Honeymooning is the second book in this series. Now bound by marriage and the formidable power of the Heirloom, Dark Lord Kazimir Blackrose and his Dark Lady Arabella are the realmā€™s most feared and chaotic power couple who plan a honeymoon, for it soon to involve kidnappings, secrets uncovered, and apparently a lot of scone making, lol.

I honestly am not a good planner. Like I have all the books I want to read, but am I really going to read them if I donā€™t feel like it? No, no Iā€™m not.

You know when you read a book that keeps you thinking about it? That's what I read this weekend, and lucky for you, it comes out tomorrow!

First of all, thank you to NetGalley , Hanover Square Press and the author, Madeline Martin Author , for letting me read A Time of Witches before it was published. I am truly honored.

This is the exact type of historical fiction book on witches that I like to read. This one has a dual timeline with Lillith, who lives in modern day Georgia, and Sybil, a woman who is accused of being a witch in 1645 England.

I have always grown up knowing about the Salem Witch Trials, and I'm sure, like many of you, read quite a bit about it in school. I didn't realize that it wasn't just something that happened in the US, but also in other countries. Madeline did an excellent job of putting us right in the time of the trials, showing us the suffering that not only the women encountered, but men as well. She used historical figures as a base of her story, and built a beautiful story of bonds of women and their resilience.

After reading the book, in the acknowledgements, Madeline stated that she has been thinking of writing this book for years. She actually had a similar nightmare as Lillith, and since then wanted to tell this story. I am sure this is such an accomplishment for her. It was honestly fabulous, and I could feel the love she had in this project through the pages.

This book is a clean read. It talks of adult themes, but it is kept clean.

Seriously, now, NetGalley, Forever and Abby Jimenez, thank you for granting my request to read A Married Little Christmas before itā€™s released! Abby helped me find my love of reading again after an extended slump!
