As summer transitions into fall, many Minnesotans are starting to pull out their heavier clothing items in preparation for the chilly temperatures that come with Minnesota’s unpredictable falls and famously long winters (Halloween Blizzard of ’91, anyone?).
At Neighbors, Inc., we want to remind our community that our Thrift Store is open to the public, and that there are some incredible deals on all your colder weather necessities such as jackets, sweaters, boots, and more. Each purchase goes towards supporting Neighbors, Inc.'s programs and services.
Additionally, for our neighbors who are enrolled in our services for more than 30 days, the Virginia’s Closet Voucher program provides a free clothing voucher up to $20 per person in the household, twice a year. This program allows our neighbors to prepare for the upcoming weather changes.
The Virginia’s Closet Voucher program is in memory of Virginia Milbert, one of the founding members of Neighbors, Inc. who diligently and honorably volunteered at the Neighbors’ Thrift Store until February of 2024, one month before departing this world at the age of 106.
The Neighbors’ Thrift Store is open on Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am – 7pm and Saturdays from 10am – 3pm. We cannot wait to welcome you soon!
