Blue backed the spine of the Bowie a bit and also put a new face on my cheap anvil. The regular face is cast iron so even the mild steel I put on is a big upgrade. Still need to drill out and shape the hardy hole but I don’t have any tooling for it so I’m in no rush.

Managed to turn this banana back into a knife. There’s still a slight bend in the tip, but I should be able to get that out when I soften the spine or with a bit of grinding. I’m pretty sure it warped so bad because it just barely fit in my quench tank and I hit it pretty hard on the bottom.

Pre heat treat grinds done on the recurve Bowie. I couldn’t be happier with how this is going so far. Had a couple slips, but overall my grinding is majorly improved from this time last year or even the beginning of the summer.

3rd chef knife finished up. Definitely the best I’ve done so far, it was ground much thinner and slices quite nicely. G10 scales and liners in a Georgia Tech theme (not quite the right yellow but I couldn’t find any G10 that matched perfectly). Cutting board is by my brother

First chef knife finished, and for a first attempt I’m pretty happy. First try at filework as well. Plenty of little things I’ll fix on the next one but I can’t wait to sharpen this one up and give it a try! My photography skills don’t show it but that handle is an amazing shade of blue.

My two works in progress. They’re both rusted thanks to a couple nights left in the garage and the wonderful humidity of South Carolina. Bottom is the knife I’m helping a friend make.

The haul from blade show today. I can’t wait to try some of this stuff out cause I’ve never worked with stabilized wood before. I’m no photographer so I can’t do this stuff justice compared to how it looks in person.

Just finished these two kiridashis- Japanese marking knives. I wanted to challenge myself so I went for a distressed rock pattern and I’m impressed with how they turned out. Both are available on Etsy
