Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day - a day for the dogs who aren’t beside us anymore, but somehow never really leave.
For the ones who changed us. Made us laugh. Drove us crazy. Took up way too much of the bed. And were worth every single second. Today, we remember them. 🌈🐾

Some people are famous. Some become part of the fabric of where you’re from.

Growing up in Tennessee, Dolly was just always there. Her music, her humor, that unmistakable voice - and a heart somehow even bigger than her personality.
She showed generations of us that you could be glamorous and tough, funny and smart, wildly successful and incredibly generous - and never forget where you came from.
Coat of Many Colors taught us early that what makes a life rich has very little to do with what it costs.

And because this is Bark Rebel, it feels especially fitting to remember her love for animals, too. Dolly turned that love into support for animal rescue through Doggy Parton, helping give animals in need a little more love and a place to land.

She was an icon long before I understood what an icon was. She was simply Dolly.
A little piece of home. ❤️
There will never be another Dolly Parton.

NATIONAL DOG DAY 🖤🐾
As if we needed another reason to spoil the dog.
Today’s agenda:
🐾 Take the long way on the walk. Let them sniff everything.
🦴 Break out the good treats.
🚗 Go somewhere that makes their tail go nuts.
📸 Take the picture. Even if you already have 14,000.
🖤 Give the senior dogs a little extra time.
🍻 And maybe raise a glass while they enjoy something from their own bar.
They don’t ask for much.
Okay… some of them are a bit high maintenance.
Either way, today belongs to the dogs.
