I have a thing for old bird cages— in particular rusty ones. When we come across them in our travels, I’ll purchase them if I get a special feeling about them and sometimes we buy for other people who are on the lookout. Recently I found just the perfect one at a garage sale. It’s something that I had been looking for so I was pretty excited when Dave spotted the garage sale sign, and actually turned and then I found it!! Right now it’s perched on a patio table but I’m sure it will have many places throughout our gardens.

My bright idea project 💡is to combine two pieces of junk that I found at two separate sales recently and make into a funky outdoor lighting fixture.  I’m thinking twinkle lights in the metal globe, but I have to figure out a way to attach that to the lamp post. It’s a head scratcher — but we’ll figure it out!

Dave has been looking for a large tea pot to make a light fixture. I happened upon this awesome copper one today and picked it up. Luckily a new welding shop just opened on the edge of town and they were able to easily remove the bottom. We had no clue how we were going to do it, so Bernard Welding to the rescue!  Excited to see this project come to fruition — like in this photo.🫖

Another great sale this weekend in Anoka at our friend Donna and Jeff’s. They host Garden Gatherings in their yard with many unique treasures that they create and restore! Take a fun road trip to 927 Jefferson St. in Anoka!

Two of our friends having big sales this coming weekend. One in Stewartville at the Old River Valley Antique Mall and the other is Garden Gatherings at 927 Jefferson Street in Anoka, Minnesota! Both will have awesome treasures! A great weekend for a roadtrip! Stop and say hi to Chris and Eric and all the great Vendors in Stewartville and to Donna and Jeff at Garden Gatherings in Anoka.

Found this pewter tankard among my mom’s estate. Thought it was fitting this year, especially, so it came home with me!🇺🇸

Now that’s what we call HARD water! Found a way to use these old spigots, barbed wire and rusty tin bowls. Succulents can thrive anywhere!❤️

Wouldn’t this make a cute mug rack? Would be fun to find a smaller version for tighter spaces.
