Happy Mother's Day in every sense of the word ! You are appreciated!

Hi beautiful! Yes you ! It's been a minute . Carrie here, doing a bit of a check in! Things have been good. Been super busy and feeling like this life is flying by! Not going to lie, iv been relaxed and taking time for myself . Val is good. Her boyfriend lost his mom a week ago and they have been maneuvering thru that. She's grateful for this time to help him. Hayley is working her 40 hr work week . Iam so proud of them , they are great daughters and I just want them to do well and be happy most of all! Iv been looking at new stuff . Trying to decide on what I want to do . Taking this time to wish everyone a beautiful Mother's Day . In all aspects of the word! Women and nurturing by nature whether it's a child , dog , aunt, grandma, or some would say husband's to! Thank you for being you and giving love when needed the most !!

I’M A BIG FAN OF WOMEN

I’m a big fan of women with raucous laughs,
women who overshare awkward truths,
when the conversation stalls.

I’m a lover of singing loudly in the car whenever possible
and I love pulling alongside a fellow diva doing the same.

I’m a big fan of women who love women,
who spot lipstick on teeth and help each other out,
when Mother Nature calls.

I’m a huge believer in comparison being the thief of joy,
that dimming someone else’s light,
won’t ever make yours shine more brightly.

I just can’t get enough of those women,
who are unashamedly themselves,
in technicolour glory.

I’m a lover of laughter and those moments,
when the tears of joy start to flow, give me life.

I think the best therapy is quality time with a friend,
who listens without judgement.

I’m a big fan of women who break, who share,
who rebuild each other and cheer along the way.

I’m grateful for this world half-full of fabulous females,
I see you all,
each and every one.

I learned a phrase earlier this year that I wish I would have known earlier in my life. The phrase is this-

It’s not my turn.

It has served me well when I feel restless, out of time or worst of all- resentful.

I wonder if it might serve you too.

It’s not my turn to actually sit at the pool,
It’s not my turn to go after that goal with all my might,
It’s not my turn to go on romantic date nights,
It’s not my turn to get published,
It’s not my turn to get take that risk,
It’s not my turn to make to volunteer as much as I’d like,
It’s not my turn to travel,
It’s not my turn to…fill in the blank.

This phrase helps me to take a deep breath and focus on where my life is right now. To took at the hard and the good with clear eyes. To know where I hope to go and know all I have right here, right now.
