I bought a monstera from target in october and it was that random FREEZING day when it was 80 the next day (not unlike march??).
the monstera suffered, went black, and immediately died.
everything online told me it had gotten cold shock, and to cut the whole beautiful plant down to about an inch about the dirt- and wait.

and sure enough the whole thing is coming back.

this one has been done and floating around my bag for a week and a half. today I pulled it out to take a picture of it, and in the transfer of pouring candles, a little dot of wax fell on it.

and I thought, ah yes, that's what you were missing. (I always love them more for their mistakes.)

personal shout out to item number 2, a frog that I took from an animal encyclopedia, double matted, and then (painstakingly) cut grass for. the glass in the frame was that somewhat half-frosted kind, that I really never see anymore, and I LOVE it.
I was secretly disappointed that he sold right after I put him out... because I kind of wanted to him longer 🫠

you know maybe that pile of mini frames at that estate sale last year actually wasn't a bad idea 🙃

honestly not sure I can bring myself to put the frogs for sale. I accidentally got too attached 🥹
the fish one is actually just a fish sticker (no glass) in a frame, and I just know it's calling someone 🤭
frame sizes are weird, so I've included them below- not the picture size
