🌻 September in the garden. 🌻

We had some crazy storms roll through yesterday, but thankfully everything is still standing over here. I can’t say the same for so many others across Michigan, and we feel very lucky to have made it through with our little garden intact. 🤍

Here’s a peek at what’s blooming now, with the dahlias beginning their September takeover. They’re just getting started, but they’ll be blooming their little heads off all month and really shining in these beautiful late-summer days.

September always feels a little bittersweet. The days are softer, the light turns golden, and you start to notice that summer won’t last forever. So I’m soaking up every sunny garden day I can get. 🌸

Wishing you a beautiful, sunny Labor Day weekend. Hopefully the skies clear, the gardens dry out, and we can all get back to enjoying these last golden days of summer. ☀️🌿

Yesterday I got to play around with a little trial run of the wedding centerpieces for our friends’ upcoming wedding! 🌸

When you’re trusted with such an important day, you definitely want to make sure you get it right. But play is such an important part of creating. There’s something about moving flowers around, experimenting with color, texture, shape and movement, and letting your eye guide you until everything just clicks. And yes, sometimes that means moving the same flower around 17 times. 😂

There’s a LOT of behind-the-scenes work that goes into bringing flowers to an event, but watching it all start to come together is the best part.

This wedding is going to be relaxed, joyful, and completely color-filled, and I’m so excited to work alongside other artists who love texture and aren’t afraid of color. Give me all the flowers! 💐

I can’t wait to see all these homegrown blooms come together for their day. It’s going to be so good!

There are some people who just make the world a little brighter, and Dolly Parton was absolutely one of those people. 🤍🌸

She had a beautiful way of making people feel seen, loved, and accepted exactly as they are. She never seemed afraid to be unapologetically herself, and she used her voice to stand up for others and make space for people who needed to feel like they belonged. I think that kind of kindness and courage is something we could all use a little more of. 🤍

I even named my white truck Dolly three years ago as a little tribute to her. 🤍

And if you have kiddos under 5, please check out Dolly’s Imagination Library! 📚💕 She created a program that sends FREE books straight to children every month, helping families build little home libraries and get kids excited about reading. Dolly said, “I believe reading has the power to let your imagination soar.” And honestly, I can’t think of a more perfect way to describe the magic she created for so many children. ✨

Between that, the millions she has given to charities, and the countless ways she has made people feel loved, she spent her life creating magic and making the world a little better.

I was asked to create a bouquet in honor of Dolly, and I thought these soft pinks and whites felt like the sweetest little tribute to her. 🌷🤍

Rest in peace and honor, Miss Dolly Parton. Thank you for reminding us to be kind, be ourselves, and leave a little more beauty in the world than we found. 🤍

Late August 2026 UPDATE:

Okay, so… we do not do weddings. And I repeat, we do NOT do weddings. 😂

BUT… we made an exception for a good friend of ours and decided to grow and do the florals for her intimate backyard wedding this September. 💐🌿

That also means I need to hit pause on bouquets for about the next month so we can make sure we have enough flowers for the wedding. So, no bouquets for a little bit! Keep an eye on our social media because we’ll share when we’re taking orders again, and we’ll post all updates here first.

If you have a special request, feel free to message us and I can let you know if it’s something we can make happen!

And truly, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Every single bouquet you’ve bought this season goes right back into DABouquets so we can grow even more flowers next year and keep this little flower-loving adventure going. 🌸

🌸 NOW BLOOMING… The DABouquets Bloom Bar 🌸

Starting next 2027 season, our Bloom Bar Cart will be available to rent! 💐

We’ll be offering it for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, backyard gatherings, or any fun little celebration where you want to give your guests something beautiful to experience and take home with them. ✨

You can rent the Bloom Bar Cart by itself, or add on buckets of our homegrown blooms for your guests to mix, match, wrap, and create their own bouquets.

This beautiful Bloom Bar made its debut at my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower, and we had such a blast wrapping bouquets for all of her lovely guests. Watching everyone choose their flowers and create something of their own was such a sweet part of the day. 🌸

And now I’m already dreaming about bringing this little bit of garden magic to your next event. Imagine your guests wandering over to the Bloom Bar, picking their favorite blooms, creating a bouquet, and leaving with something they made themselves. 🥹🌷

We’ll only be taking a limited number of Bloom Bar rentals next season, so if you’re thinking this might be perfect for your upcoming celebration, reach out to us!

A garden full of colorful zinnias feels like summer at its happiest. 🌸💕

I did a giant harvest yesterday, and these beauties will be part of a bloom bar cart we’re putting together for my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower this weekend. I’m so excited to take flowers we’ve grown all summer and turn them into something beautiful for her special day. There’s something really sweet about getting to celebrate someone you love with a little piece of the garden you’ve poured your heart into. 🥹

Because the garden will be busy getting ready for her shower, I won’t be making bouquets this weekend. If you’d like one after the weekend, send me a message and I’ll keep you posted on when bouquets are available again!
