Louisville, Kentucky is the perfect little weekend getaway from St. Louis with kids and honestly, I think we found a new quick family favorite!

If you’re looking for a trip that feels like you actually GOT away without spending half the weekend in the car, save this one!

Our Louisville weekend included:
• Churchill Downs + Kentucky Derby Museum

If you’re heading to Louisville with kids, put the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory on your list, ASAP!

The Custom Bat Experience was such a fun part of our visit because you get to create a Louisville Slugger that is actually YOURS. Pick your bat, choose your personalization, and turn it into a souvenir that feels way more special than the usual vacation keepsake. Bonus part, you get to watch it be made!

If you’re looking for more history on Louisville Slugger, they also offer a museum & factory tour too! You get to walk through the history of Louisville Slugger, see how the bats are actually made, and watch the factory in action. And yes, you get a FREE mini bat at the end of the tour.

Kids 5 & under: FREE
Your admission includes the museum + factory tour + souvenir mini bat. The entire museum/factory experience takes about 2 hours, so it’s an easy activity to fit into a Louisville itinerary. (You do not need to purchase tickets if you just want to do the custom bat experience)

12 days in this wonderful city with my family was a dream. Being there so long we felt we were able to fully immerse in the city and enjoy ourselves & were dreaming of already going back!

Happy Easter (a day late) from Cabo!

3 years ago we started a new family tradition by spending Easter weekend add a family of 4 in Cabo. This spot had been one of Mike and I’s favorite places to visit on kid free trips and we wanted our kids to experience to fun, culture and beauty of Cabo too. It has quickly become one of our favorite family traditions and I hope to continue this for MANY MANY years!

& if you’ve ever been to Cabo to know . It is a 25 acre working organic farm in San Jose Del Cabo. It is known for Floras Field Kitchen, where they serve all Farm to Table meals and where we ate Easter brunch. However; it also has a spa, organic market, culinary cottages (yes you can stay here!), yoga sessions, cooking classes, farm tours, playground, shops and so much more!
