Mattress Cleaner:
🌿Have you thought about what's lurking in your mattresses, pillows, fabric furniture, stuffed toys, comforters, pet bedding, and more? These things are really hard to wash, and they get filled with disgusting body oils and pet dander. Not only is this gross, but it's also a problem for people who have allergies and/or asthma as well.
🌿To use, you shake the bottle, and use the appropriate amount of sprays (the bottle will tell you; ex: 1-2 sprays for pillows, 7-8 sprays for a queen bed, 10-12 sprays for a king bed, etc). Then, the enzymes in this product go to work to deep clean these surfaces.
🌿Let it work for 4 hours before laying on the surface.
🌿Use monthly, or twice a month if you have allergies/asthma!

Pillowcases:
🌿These silky, satiny pillowcases feel cool when you lie on them, and are moisture-absorbing.

I'm beyond excited to see the Spa Wrap in GRAY as a host reward item for March! If you book a party for late Feb or March, closing your party in March to get these rewards is an option.

This Spa Wrap is the SOFTEST thing ever and so easy to put on when you get out of the shower but aren't ready to get dressed yet. We used to sell this item (in blue) in the catalog and it was discontinued, and it made me so sad!

I will DEFINITELY be snagging one of these next month! They make great gifts too.

What does hosting look like?

If on facebook-I create a group, you invite some friends/family, and I do some posting and a LIVE demo for your guests.

If in-home, you provide some light snacks/drinks, I come over and demo the products for your guests.

On our trip last week, we had to switch pools a few times because even though Piper seemed to like the music and loud crowds in the morning, it seemed to overwhelm her in the afternoons.

I was telling my friend how I don't like listening to loud music either, because it impairs my ability to listen.

When you have a child who is nonverbal, you listen...all...the...time.

I listen for sounds that means something, like "wa wa" means she is thirsty, and she smacks her lips if she is hungry.

I listen for sounds that could mean something is wrong, like she is choking on something.

I listen for too much quietness, which means she is up to no good.

I listen for laughter, so that I can talk to her about what she is finding funny.

I listen to marker marks on her hands after school, so that I can ask her about art class.

I listen for "mmmmm!" sounds...so that I learn which ice cream flavor is her favorite, or which lunch option she likes the best...because I always want to order her things she likes.

On this past trip, I listened when I put sunscreen on her right ear and it brought her to tears. That's how I found out my baby had Swimmers Ear.

I also listened to her eyes in this picture when I scrolled through them later that day--her eyes show pain.

If you spend time with me and my sweet girl, you may feel like I'm half-listening to you. Unfortunately, that's true. When Piper is with me, I am always listening to her and doing my very best to listen to others at the same time.

Our world is unique.

If you are looking for ways to interact with Piper, or another child who is has extra communication needs, here are some tips:

❤Get down on her level. If she is in her adaptive stroller, kneel and get her attention when you speak to her.

❤Learn what her sounds mean so that you can acknowledge how she is communicating with you.

❤Speak in very few words.

Instead of saying, "Piper! Let's get your life jacket on and go to the beach and have fun and swim!

Try: "Piper-Can we go to the beach?" You may need to repeat these simple words a couple times and watch her face to see if she understood and wants to join.

❤Give her time to respond. It may take her longer to process what you asked her or what you said. She just needs a minute to process it, but if you move on to another thought or subject, she wasn't able to answer you, and now she has new words to process.

❤And remember-she can hear you. Often, when people learn she uses a few simple, modified signs and/or doesn't speak with words, people begin using sign language to communicate with her. She can hear just like you or I can, so you can still speak directly to her, and sign simultaneously if you feel like you want to.

When I signed up for Norwex as a business, one of my goals was to pay for a family vacation once a year. Traveling was really important to my family and my daughter's medical bills were making our spending money much tighter.

Little did I know, you could earn free trips.

Once I found that out, my monthly goals changed and I challenged myself to become more consistent with my business. This simple choice changed everything for me and eventually led to Norwex replacing my full-time nursing job.

And I have earned every trip that has been offered since finding out there were trips to be earned.

We have gone to:
*Maui
*Norway
*Cabo
*Should have gone to Cancun but couldn't attend that once since my newborn was only 3 weeks old

*& our travel documents for Punta Cana arrived yesterday

(We are also going to the Big Island in one year too)

While I love all of these destinations, it's not even about the destination.

It's about the people.

The time with my family.
The memories.
The pictures of my daughters on the beach.

Hanging out with like-minded friends all week long.
The collaborating.
The new friendships.

& letting my girls experience an incentive trip that was earned. They earned it too. Because truly, it's a family business.

So excited to experience a new destination with my family & my friends in just a couple weeks!

A couple months ago I was asked if I would teach a workshop at our 2022 Leadership Conference in Denver, CO. I was so very excited because this has been something I had hoped to do for a long time. But when I found out the title of the workshop they wanted me to lead, I found myself feeling hesitant.

"How to Run your Business like a CEO," was the name of the workshop.

Wellll....

I wear pajamas to bed and often don't change out of them when I'm in my office.

I'm often nursing a newborn during work zoom calls.

And I literally cringe at the words "spreadsheet" or "export."

Once I confirmed they had me assigned to THAT workshop, I (hesitantly) accepted.

And sat in front of my computer with a blank stare when I needed to start preparing it.

Writing the beginning of it came easier than I thought, and then I found myself stumped.

Sure-I could talk about how disciplined I am, how I wake up early each day, and how I rarely make excuses.

But that's not really what got my business to where it is today.

So I decided, in my head, to change what CEO meant.

Instead of "Chief Executive Officer," it became "Consistently Empowering Others."

& I taught that.

It was a true honor to share how I find belief in myself & my team, how I prioritize, how I communicate, and most importantly, how I love on my team.

I'm returning from Denver today with a full heart.

Maybe you don't feel like you are a salesperson or don't feel like you know a darn thing about business.

Guess what? I didn't either.

On our team, we empower each other and grow together.
