Well. I passed the Bobcat baton to my husband, Nate, and he had a blast. He said, “They do call it a JOYstick.” 😂 Oh, the joy he had, and what a needed help he was on this project! Apparently, when I practiced operating the skid steer at the rental shop, the owner and another guy there were watching me on the inside monitor, wanting desperately to save me from the painful sight they were witnessing. 😂😂😂 I was NOT getting it!
And, let’s face it, when you’re on site at a job, you gotta move efficiently. So I did the wise thing and stuck with what I’m good at - project management and doing everything else except operate the Bobcat!
My client, Lauren, has been nothing short of a gift to work with. I LOVE that we’re upcycling - taking rocks and flagstone that weren’t working in another space of her yard and repurposing them to give her front yard a facelift. We’ve purchased NO materials so far. 🙌
It’s a work in progress, and I’m excited to show you the before/after pictures this fall - after this heat wave passes and we dig up some plants, divide them, and move them where they will thrive, and THEN buy a few new perennials to add dazzling color that will pop in Spring 2027!
