hi all!

we have some big news to share about our little shop!! but first of all, the shop is only going to be open Thursday 07/31 of this week, and closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. it'll be back open next Thursday 08/07, but with the big change noted below!!!

as of this coming friday we will no longer be the owners of Little Lost Records. while it is absolutely bittersweet for us, we are extremely excited to say that we're passing it along to our friend Evan, who we know is going to do an amazing job taking it over and continuing our original vision for it!

we both work other jobs in addition to running the shop, and over the past few months we haven't been able to put as much time, care, and love into the shop as it deserves.

it's been a dream come true for us to open this space and see a community flourish around it. it’s been such a pleasure getting to know everyone who’s stopped in, befriending regulars, and just overall being more involved in our community. we'll never forget the past two years and how much they've meant to us.

when we started thinking about who to pass the shop along to, our friend Evan immediately came to mind. he has an incredible depth of knowledge about such a wide array of genres, so much passion for all aspects of music, and a desire to turn people on to music they would have otherwise never heard. in other words, all the things we built this shop around.

he is going to dive even deeper into specialized curation with a focus on bringing new artists to a wider audience, especially those on the more experimental side of things. beyond that, he's planning on booking events here more consistently than we ever did, as well as revamping the shop's Substack to share as much music with you as possible. also, he's dropping most of his eclectic personal collection into the store bins, so be sure to stop in soon to do some digging!

in short, we can't wait to be regular customers here once Evan takes over!

it's a beautiful sunny day at the shop!

wanted to take a second to re-iterate that this has always been and always will be an all-inclusive, welcoming space. especially now, we want to make sure you know we are here for you. as i said in a post a few weeks ago, even though we are technically a store, we've always wanted this to serve as a third space.

when you come here, don't feel obligated to make a purchase. stop in, chat, vent, organize - whatever you need to do. we want this to serve as a safe space for positive change. if you are interested in joining our weekly listening club or learning more about the Stafford Pride events, definitely message me or stop in and ask. the community we've built up here has really helped keep our tanks full and we would love to share that with more people who are interested in connecting with their local community in-person.

we're also doubling down on making sure that we are stocking music that we firmly believe is wonderful and generally underrepresented in bins. always feel free to take pictures of records/CDs you think look cool, put earbuds in and pull it up on your phone, or generally just use our shop as a place of exploration.

in line with all of this, i'm also trying to migrate the majority of our posting to Bluesky, so follow me there at .bsky.social

i'll still post about big things here (shows, sales, hour changes, etc.) but will switch to posting our daily "now playing" selections, notes, etc. over there

welcome to Little Lost CDs!

in case you haven't heard, CDs are back in a big way and we've re-arranged our space to accommodate!

we've put out about 400 new/sealed CDs of both new music and reissues, housed in our fancy new wooden flip-through racks built for us by our friend Chris.

we also have four used - but fully tested and working - portable CD players for sale for a whopping $10 each in case you no longer have a way to play CDs but want to get back into it.

we also still have out used CD selection housed where it normally is, plus our selection of about 400 $1 CDs!

we're here until 6 today, so come say hi!
