🍇❤️ A quick little Sugar Britches quality reminder! ❤️🍇
I wanted to address something gently because the quality of the treats you receive is extremely important to me.
Our candied grapes MUST remain FROZEN at all times. They are delivered to our retail locations frozen and with proper storage instructions.
Unfortunately, I’ve recently had a few customers reach out after purchasing grapes from a retail location that had apparently thawed or melted at some point. I’ve also become aware of a couple of instances where there were storage/freezer issues at locations carrying our products.
Once candied grapes have significantly thawed or melted, refreezing them does not restore their original quality. The candy coating and overall texture can be affected, and at that point they are no longer representative of the product I make and intend for you to enjoy.
I have reached out to our retail partners to reiterate the importance of keeping the grapes frozen, and I absolutely do not want this post to shame or call out any of the wonderful stores that carry Sugar Britches. Equipment malfunctions and mistakes happen! I’m incredibly thankful for every business that has given my little company shelf space. ❤️
However, I also care deeply about my customers and my reputation, so I want you to know what to look for.
🍇 When purchasing candied grapes from one of our retail locations, please make sure the container is frozen and the grapes/candy coating do not appear significantly melted before purchasing (a tiny bit is fairly normal). If something doesn’t look right, I would recommend not purchasing that particular container and letting the store know.
Because our retail locations purchase their inventory directly from Sugar Britches and then resell it, any refund for a product purchased from a retail store would need to be handled by that store. Of course, I still appreciate hearing from you if there is ever a quality concern so I can address storage issues with the location directly.
I put way too many hours (and way too much love 😂) into these treats to ever want someone’s first experience with Sugar Britches to be a melted container of grapes that doesn’t reflect what you’re supposed to be getting.
