Man… Galesburg keeps surprising me daily. Every time I think we're finally done digging through this area, something else lands in the inbox.

This one deserves some extra attention because the records provided show a lifetime registered Sexual Predator — and the additional material provided identifies him as a pastor at Bethesda C.O.G.I.C.

📅 DOB: 05/08/1970

The older Illinois registry screenshot lists Robinson as:

And now here's the part that caught our attention.

⛪ PASTOR?

Material provided to the page advertises “Pastor Allen Robinson” alongside “Lady Angela Robinson” for a July 12, 2026 Pastor & First Lady Anniversary at Bethesda C.O.G.I.C.

Another screenshot from a page labeled Bethesda COGIC - Galesb... shows the same pastor and woman participating in a church service.

So we're not talking about somebody merely sitting quietly in the back pew according to the material we've been given — he is publicly presented as the pastor.

And yeah, THAT deserves attention.

A church is a position of trust. Families attend. Children attend. People routinely look toward pastors for guidance and leadership. So learning that someone publicly presented as a pastor is also listed on a state sex-offender registry as a Tier 3 offender and has a documented conviction for aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon is information members of that congregation may reasonably want to know.

⚠️ Important distinction: the registry screenshots establish the criminal-record information. The church screenshots are the material identifying Allen Robinson as the pastor; we're not adding any allegation that misconduct occurred at the church.

And “compliant” doesn't mean the conviction disappeared. It refers to compliance with applicable registration requirements.

Galesburg… I really don't know what else you're going to throw at us at this point. Every time I think we've cleaned up the scraps, somebody sends another one. 🤦‍♂️

No rumors. No new criminal allegations. The conviction information comes from the registries, and the pastor information comes from the church material provided.

Also that red tag is on other doors up at Northpoint !
I don't understand why the whole area up there can't get a face lift and make something nice out of it for Streator and surrounding people ! The old gym would be a great child activity center all those store fronts would make cute shops or even little quick eats or ice cream shop sandwich place something anything really it's just dead and nothing is being done maybe someone can step in and invest in this property !!!!
