Close Encrafters - Bad Craft Nights on the farm is an idea I’ve been mulling around in my brain and I desperately want to get it off the ground. Maybe even do a tent camping weekend! 😱 who knows! How are we feeling about this?!?

Mittens > socks.
Fully in my mitten era.

Uh I absolutely give up knitting socks. I’m only knitting mittens now. Join me if you’d like! I really like the interchangeable mitten liners from Emily Foden in the Knits About Winter book. I plan on yarn tattooing all over them. So far I’m having much less resistance to knitting the second mitten as I am with socks.

Quick update: The studio’s been humming behind the scenes. Been working through some large wholesale orders and a house full of the flu, yikes! I think I see the healthy horizon ahead.

Also been getting new collection ideas and turning them into something sooo fun! New chicken theme colors coming perhaps?!? A little creative chaos is about to surface soon!

New colors are about to make their way up onto the website tonight at 8pm! These are all ready to ship but I cannot guarantee delivery before the 25th. A lot of these are OOAK as well as some Vintage Christmas, Ceramic Forest, and Small skeletal on Cash Sock and Simple Sock!

Just coming in quick to say I’m here! In the studio grinding as usual. I’ve got wholesale orders in the background while desperately trying to break through this color artistic block so I can bring more fresh new colors for you all.
Unfortunately my art, creativity, and production are connected to my mental health so I’m trying to be gentle with myself, show a little grace. It’s about the journey and the process. Yea?? Yea.

Okay it has taken me a minute to get my routine back in the studio but we’re finally getting there! I’ve been working on some OOAK’s, for those that had been following in my stories, and squeezing in some skeins for the website in between custom orders.

Going to see a sweet comeback of a much missed fan favorite Small Skeletal! Yaya!!! Also Lady Grey, Parlor Room and Douglas Fir! You’ll have to tell me if I should throw some Ceramic Forest in as well. Are we ready for the holiday yarn yet??

I’m loving these flash back posts and remembering some of the first colorways I ever created. These were from I think.. maybe 9 years ago!?!?
I miss these bright colors! I think I need to look into recreating some of these.. 🥵

Real talk—it gets BRUTAL in the studio come midday 🥵 too hot for me, too hot for Lanie. Three stoves, nonstop steam, and even with AC + fans, it’s a sauna. So I’ve shifted my hours: early mornings + late nights only. Midday? I’m fully embracing a European-style poolside break 😎 It’s slowed my pace, but I’m not mad—trying to lean into it, maybe even sneak in some knitting & painting 🧶✨
