While taking this pic in the water, about waist deep, woman next me calming says "OMG a manatee". As I turned around this massive 10 ft giant just swam by me. I just love moments like this.

Big thumbs up to ILM (Wilmington airport). After a long day I came out to be ducked by the airport. Got to play corn hole while waiting for my flight and today there was an awesome singer/guitar player.
Thank you for these little surprises that make flying a little easier.

While living in Key West, Key West Krafts occasionally will run into hazards on the beach. We are now in the season of Sarggasum which is a type of algae. It is more prevalent on the west coast and Gulf of Mexico. It comes in a blooms at specific times of the year. It can be very stinky but provides a wonderful ecosystem for a lot of ocean life.

Shout out to the good folk that search 26 miles of Topsail Island each morning for the Topsail Turtle Project.
They are already up to 21 nests. These eggs can take 45 to 70 days to hatch so don't plan your vacation to early to witness this.
If staying on the beach please review the basic rules regarding this conservation effort. Enjoy the beaches but keep them safe and clean for all visitors large and small.
