A Little History of McCarthy Plaza in Historic Taos!

My grandfather,
John F McCarthy’s grocery store.
Present day
At Home in Taos.
McCarthy Plaza.
My great grandfather opened his business in 1904, his building was to the left of the Old County Courthouse on the north side of the Plaza. Our family has been in continuous business since then. There was a fire in 1932 that destroyed the Bond-McCarthy building, and this business pictured, was my grandfathers grocery store, which he opened after the fire.
