Long post…. I don’t normally share personal things on this page but this is currently my life. I know I’ve never been the best at quick reply’s, this has taken a toll mentally so if I’m slacking again. You know why.
This is my youngest, Kian. - almost 2 years old
We’ve been to the dr/hospital/specialists 9 times since june 9th & this is the most recent update.
Infectious disease appointment this morning. The idea of his bone being necrotic was thrown out. So now the debate is - is it osteomyelitis? The spot is not a normal area for infection. Typically, with this infection- lab work will be off- his was normal. The only way to tell is if “symptoms improve” after 28 days of 2 antibiotics 3x a day. Even then, the xray may still look the same…
Or CRMO (Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis)? The only way to tell is if he goes under AGAIN for a full body MRI to see if there are other areas with this same spot. This can also show normal labs. IF this is the case he will then be referred to a rheumatologist due to it being an autoimmune disorder.
Bear with me on responses, know that I appreciate everyone of you. I’m still taking banner requests, may have to slow down a little. 🤍
