Water your lawn every day? Not so fast!

More water doesn’t always mean a healthier lawn.

In fact, frequent, shallow watering can encourage shallow root growth, and too much water can create problems of its own.

Here’s what to consider instead:

🌱 Water deeply when needed. Encourage roots to grow deeper rather than relying on a little water every day.

🌱 Pay attention to the weather. Recent rainfall, temperature, and humidity all affect how much water your lawn needs.

🌱 Know your soil. Sandy soil drains quickly, while clay-heavy soil holds moisture longer.

🌱 Choose your timing. Early morning is generally a great time to water because less moisture is lost to evaporation.

Every lawn is different, so the goal isn’t to water MORE. It’s to water SMARTER.
