Brought this 2005 Fender Stratocaster back to life for Will

It had taken a spill and caused deep grooves in the frets past the 12th fret.
After scraping some (possible overspray 🤷🏽‍♂️) finish from the fingerboard at the 3rd fret I went ahead and leveled, crowned and polished the frets.

The aftermarket bridge that was on the guitar was actually the incorrect spacing for this instrument so we replaced it with a suitable black bridge and brass block.

Another sweet instrument for Ralph. This time it’s a Chris Buck Signature Revstar.
Brand new from the store, just needed a few tweaks to get it playing great.

Set up with Ernie Ball 10-46s and is ready to go home to join the rest of Ralph’s amazing collection.

Just got done with this beautiful ASJ600 for a new client.

He bought it to me as he was not passing signal (although the onboard tuner still worked). Turns out the hot wire had broken from the terminal on the output jack. I decided to replace the jack.

This also got a fret level and polish before being set up with Elixir 13-56s.

Ernie Ball Musicman LIII
Ralph brought this to me with some extreme fret sprout and a creaking coming from the neck pocket.

After knocking back the razor sharp fret tangs that had extruded past the fingerboard I beveled/ crowned and polished the frets.
The creaking in the neck joint was caused by the screws binding in the body meaning that the screws couldn’t give enough pull on the neck to get it seated in the pocket correctly. I reamed the holes so the screws slide right though. Added a full pocket shim and the creak is gone. The neck is now seated great in the pocket and at a great angle to get the action just perfect.

I wanted to get some room to raise the pickups so added some foam under the bridge pickup to allow me to adjust the pickup height.

After a setup with Ernie Ball 10-46s this thing is ready to join Ralph’s other LIII (which I worked on last year).

I am home from touring for the next couple of months so if you have an instrument that needs some love, DM me.

This Ernie Ball Music Man L3 needed some work.
Ralph bought this to me immediately after he picked it up and it right away had tell tale signs of HEAVY usage in a previous life.

There was a ski slope at the heel which spanned from around the 14th fret up to the heel, after adding some fall away to the higher frets did little to help the issue we decided to give the whole thing a refret. This gave me the opportunity to make the entire fingerboard level and start fresh. We went ahead and used the StewMac Wide/ Highest frets and they came out fantastic.

There was some pretty serious chip out around the nut area (possibly from somebody removing the factory nut) which I cut flush and glued some rosewood in the gap.

The knife edges on the bridge and the pivot posts were both blunt and rusted, time for a whole new bridge.

Last thing was a full pocket neck shim to really dial in the neck angle after the refret.

After a new bone nut and a setup with Ernie Ball 10-46s and this thing lives to fight another day.

***While doing the work on this guitar it was a kinda mystery as we couldn’t find any other L3’s with this particular finish. The homie looked into it and turns out that this belonged to and was played to death by of the band Set It Off. The finish is called Cyan Blue Sparkle. Pretty cool!

Just sent this Japanese Charvel Model 1A back home with

Came in for pickup swap and a set up where I realized that almost every fret was raising out of their slots.

I managed to get some glue under and clamp every fret to ensure that they stay put.

Set up with Ernie Ball 10-46 and this classic is rippin again 🤙🏼

Just finished up this sweet Fender Strat from 1999 for the ultimate homie

I installed the Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple pickups, blocked the trem, leveled the frets, installed new locking tuners and new saddles. Followed all of that up with a set up with Ernie Ball 10-46.

I don’t know how many Mexican Strats Hunter has in the collection now but this one is 🔥🔥🔥
