Chris Caruso recently posted a video walking through swapping out the stock Legacy preamp for an LHZ. The reason for the change wasn’t due to tone: it was sudden battery death during the gig. Concerned that there was practically no warning, he opted to replace the Legacy.

We’ve got Chris’s Legacy preamp in the shop now, and are putting it through the same battery of tests to see how well the Legacy performs as the battery drains.

The LHZ website is currently under a DDOS attack (along with thousands of other sites this morning) so the site and email service is impacted. Our hosting partner is currently working to block the botnet that is running the campaign, so we hope to have service restored soon.

Here's the TonePump cheat sheet you never knew you needed! The TonePump is a great preamp. It's also very misunderstood. Why's it so loud? Is it boost-only? Where's the flat EQ point? Before you replace your TonePump with an LHZ Preamp, take some time to understand it first. You might just love it.
