Our brave little man. I still can’t believe you’re not with us.
In 2019, Bill survived a terrible accident that took his dad’s life. I arrived in Peru that same day and was there at the hospital as he began to recover.
And that he did.
For the next seven years, Bill got to be a kid. He played, he laughed and he grew up surrounded by his family. Those seven years were such a gift.
Bill was Lourdes’s son, Francisca’s grandson and Bertha, Nancy and Evangelina’s nephew. This loss runs incredibly deep through a family that has welcomed me into their homes and lives for so many years.
Sometimes we don’t understand God’s plans. This is one of those times. But we find peace knowing Bill is safe in God’s hands and reunited with his dad.
Rest peacefully, sweet Bill. You were so loved. 💙
