🛑 WARNING: PARODY AHEAD — UNfluencer Guide to Nantucket, Volume 4 🛑

Apparently I wasn’t finished. 😂 Welcome to Volume 4 of my UNfluencer Guide to Nantucket, where I continue my completely unnecessary mission to poke a little fun at influencer culture while celebrating an island I have loved for decades.

This installment focuses on the real hardships of the Nantucket lifestyle. There are no giant brand-name stores. 😱 No massive shopping centers. No glowing chain signs beckoning you from the rotary. How does anyone survive?!

Instead, you’re forced to endure things like historic lighthouses, endless beaches, hydrangeas, cobblestone streets, locally grown produce, ocean views, small businesses, and generations of island traditions. Absolutely devastating. 😂

That’s the whole point. Its magic is in the things you can’t find on the mainland—and the places, people, history, and traditions that existed long before anyone was filming a “Come spend the day with me on Nantucket!” reel.

So, welcome to The UNfluencer Guide to Nantucket: Volume 4 — Come for the content. Stay because there’s no Target. 😂🌊⚓️

‼️ WARNING: Another Parody Ahead! ‼️

🐋 Apparently, the best way to experience Nantucket now is through a perfectly curated 30-second video telling you exactly where to shop, what to order, what to wear, and—most importantly—where to photograph the bag afterward. 😂

But while the narration in this video is very concerned with dangerously high credit limits and whether your second iced coffee coordinates with your shopping bag, look at what’s actually happening in the background.

The beaches. The lighthouses. The hydrangeas. The ocean. The kind of beauty that doesn’t require a reservation, a designer label, or an affiliate link or code.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with shopping, eating, drinking, and enjoying everything Nantucket businesses have to offer—I certainly have for four decades now! But if your entire impression of this island comes from what social media tells you is cute, trendy, or must-do, you’re missing the best part.

Nantucket was breathtaking long before anyone was filming GRWMs on the ferry. 😉

So come. Shop. Eat. Have the second iced coffee. But look up from your phone. The real Nantucket is waiting right in front of you. 🌊⚓️ 🐳

‼️ WARNING: PARODY… AGAIN! ‼️
Apparently one UNfluencer’s Guide to Nantucket was not enough. 😂 So, against absolutely no one’s better judgment, I present… VOLUME 2.

I first came to Nantucket in 1982, and after 44 summers here, I’ve learned a few things. Mainly that you don’t actually need the perfect outfit, the trendiest cocktail, a reservation you made six months ago, or photographic evidence that you were here in order to enjoy this island. Who knew?! 😂

My family comes back year after year for the history, the beaches, the beauty, the traditions, and—most importantly—the relationships we’ve built here over more than four decades. Nantucket has changed tremendously, but the things that made us fall in love with it are still here.

So yes… The UNfluencer’s Guide to Nantucket: Volume 2 is once again a parody, a little satire, and mostly a love letter to an island that was doing just fine long before hashtags, ring lights, GRWMs, and viral cocktails entered the chat. 😉🌊⛵️

Please enjoy responsibly. Preferably without documenting every second of it. 😂

The first time I came to Nantucket was in 1982. Since then, I’ve watched this island change in so many ways—but at its heart, it has always remained the same. My family doesn’t come here for the perfect backdrop, the trendiest cocktail, or to chase likes. We come for the history, the beaches, the beauty, the traditions, and the relationships we’ve built over more than four decades.

So this video is all in good fun. It’s a parody. A little satire. A love letter with a wink. 😊 Because while social media may be exploding with all things Nantucket, Nantucket certainly didn’t need social media to become magical. This little island has been charming people for hundreds of years, and I have a feeling it’ll still be standing long after the next viral trend sails away. 🌊 ⛵️
