Matriarch.

It’s a word that keeps popping up everywhere I turn lately. In conversations. In the spaces I’m drawn to. In the communities I choose to be part of.

And it’s made me think a lot about what a matriarchal space actually looks like, and why I believe they matter.

We recently learned that our previous phone provider wasn’t always pushing calls through to us. If you’ve tried calling the Sanctum before and couldn’t reach us, that may have been why!

Our Wildlings are getting together again!

This time we're celebrating Mabon and the beginning of fall.

We'll spend the afternoon talking about the changing season, gratitude, balance, and all those little signs that tell us autumn is on its way. Of course, we'll also make something, eat something, read a story, sing together, and have a simple little Mabon ritual.

One of our favorite things about Wildlings Circle is giving kids a space to explore these traditions in a way that actually feels like it's for them. Nothing complicated or overly serious. Just a few hours of creating, learning, getting a little messy, and celebrating together.

If you've got a little Wildling between 5 and 12, we'd love to have them join us. Parents are always welcome, and honestly, we love when you stay and participate too.

Something new is happening behind the scenes at Everth Sanctum...

We're launching Behind the Sanctum, a new community participation program for people who already know, love, and understand our space and want to become a little more involved in helping care for it.

Behind the Sanctum members will have opportunities to pick up shifts in the store, help during events and markets, support customers, and become part of what keeps the Sanctum running day to day. In return, time spent helping earns store credit to use at the Sanctum.

This program is built around community, trust, and the idea that this space doesn't have to rest on one person's shoulders.

Participation is 18+ and by approval, and training is required before picking up shifts.

First Behind the Sanctum Training:
Sunday, August 30
1:00–4:00 PM

If you've already built a relationship with the Sanctum and this sounds like something you'd genuinely enjoy being part of, send us a message to express your interest.

You don't need retail experience. You just need to care about the space, the people who walk through our doors, and the community we're building here.

We will be closing at 3:00 today in order to finish our setup for the Old Magik Market. We'll be open our standard hours tomorrow.
