Why are we requiring FRT certification at Top Shot?

Because shooting an FRT safely takes more than just pulling the trigger.

Proper grip, stance, recoil control, and knowing when to let off the trigger all matter. Our FRT Certification Class is designed to help shooters understand their equipment and demonstrate that they can keep the firearm under control.

The goal isn’t speed. The goal is **safe, controlled shooting** so we can bring FRTs back to the range responsibly.

FRTs are coming back to Top Shot — **but we’re doing it safely.**

This Thursday, August 20th from **6–7 PM**, we’re holding our first **FRT Certification Class**.

This isn’t about seeing who can shoot the fastest. We’re going to work on understanding how an FRT functions, proper grip and stance, recoil control, and most importantly — being able to stay in control of your firearm when using it.

The goal is pretty simple: we want people to be able to enjoy shooting FRTs at Top Shot, while keeping everyone on the range and the range itself safe.

This is our kickoff certification event, and we’ll be offering more opportunities in the future.
