Jackson Street Jams is back this Saturday, July 25! Get ready for toe-tapping tunes from Rick Trevino, delicious eats, local vendor treasures, and the buzz of friends and neighbors coming together in downtown Burnet.

Events like this are what make Burnet shine: fun gatherings that bring us all together and give our local businesses a well-deserved boost. With a bit of planning, a dash of patience, and some classic Burnet neighborly spirit, we’re set for a safe and unforgettable night!

Please keep these reminders in mind:

• Expect additional traffic and limited parking.
Downtown will be buzzing, especially near the square! Head out a little early so you can snag a parking spot and maybe even the best seat in the house. And remember, let’s keep driveways, intersections, fire lanes, and business entrances clear for everyone.

• Watch carefully for pedestrians.
You’ll spot folks crossing roadways near the square, sometimes not even close to the crosswalk. Take it slow, pocket your phone, and keep your eyes peeled, especially for speedy little ones who might dash out unexpectedly.

• Make a safe transportation plan.
Thinking of raising a glass? Line up that designated driver or plan a safe ride home before you even leave (carpooling with friends is always a win!). Never let friends or family drive impaired; a little planning keeps the night memorable for all the right reasons.

• Secure your vehicle.
Give those doors a click, roll up the windows, and don’t forget your keys! If you have to bring valuables, tuck them out of sight before you hit downtown. Better safe than sorry!

• Respect the surrounding community.
Let’s not forget, some of our friends and neighbors live nearby. Please respect private property, keep the party noise down as you head out, toss your trash where it belongs, and treat everyone, businesses, vendors, and fellow guests with respect and kindness.

• Follow the directions of officers and event staff.
Officers and event staff will be out and about to help keep everything running smoothly. If you see us, don’t be shy; come say hi! We love catching up with our community. If you’re given instructions during the event, just know they’re looking out for everyone’s safety, so go with the flow and follow their lead; we're there to make sure everyone has a great time safely.
