Making an amazing come back by popular demand is this...
Biscoff Cookie Butter cake! Incredibly smooth and completely decadent in its flavor complexities this cake never disappoints. Topped with melted cookie butter and a whole cookie!

Next up we have a Dolly Parton tribute in the form of Banana Pudding Cake. Rich and lovely the flavor reaches every part of this cake. The icing itself tastes like a mixture of melted ice cream and pudding. Topped with crushed vanilla wafers and dried banana pieces for extra texture with this sweetness. No need to work 9 to 5 to earn this slice.

Our next contender is the Spiced Cinnamon Churro Cake slice. I soak Cinnamon toast crunch cereal in milk overnight and strain out the cereal to create this flavor stack. You can really taste the depth of all the cinnamon hiding in the layer. With warm vanilla notes and delicious cinnamon cereal topping this slice you get a creamy and crunchy satisfaction.

The next cake flavor selection is Chocolate Caramel Cake. My incredible chocolate cake that's moist and incredibly decadent is topped with a caramel Swiss meringue buttercream and drizzled with caramel and chocolate fudge. This incredible combination only needs a spoon and a nice glass of milk.

And of course I would like to show you what happens sometimes when working at Comfort and Joy.

The last item is my Dubai chocolate brownie- now normally she would look a little bit more neat but my fudge icing was super gooey and instead of stopping I just let it roll.

This is a prime opportunity to purchase these incredible brownies with the extra fudge icing along the sides. I promise you this hot mess of a delicious dessert will not disappoint.
Let me remind you that I grind my own pistachios to make my pistachio butter. I toast off Kataifi and add tahini and local honey to create this topping in a ratio that only I know. It is then generously heaped on top of one of my incredible fudge brownies with a ring of Rich decadent gooey fudge icing.

You need to go ahead and reach out to me and place your orders and I will put them aside in the fridge here at headquarters or you can pick up any of these items at West side market later today and through the rest of the month.

I will also be making an appearance at West side market this weekend to sell and spread this Joy wherever I can!

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about balance—and about making sure this little business stays something I LOVE doing.
After calling around to bakeries in the Upstate and comparing prices, I realized something: I am significantly undercharging for highly decorated custom cakes. 😂
And listen, I don’t want to price gouge anybody. Ever. But I also don’t want to spend 4–5+ hours designing, baking, making chocolate decorations, shopping for specialty pieces, decorating and obsessing over every tiny detail of a cake…and quietly resent the fact that I charged $65 for it.
So, going forward, there will be a difference between a dessert cake and a custom decorated cake.
A dessert cake will still be BEAUTIFUL. Buttercream, drips, pretty finishing touches—and YES, I will write Happy Birthday on your cake without nickel-and-diming you. Don’t be silly. 😂
But themed designs, flowers, edible images, burn-away cakes, specialty chocolate work, trinkets, elaborate decorations, etc. will come with an additional charge based on what you’re asking me to create.
I don't want to stop making your crazy cakes. I just need the crazy cakes to make sense. 😂
Because when I tell you I make things with love, I mean it. I make my pistachio butter from scratch. I make fillings and toppings myself. I check recalls and ingredients. I shop around when necessary to make sure I'm comfortable with what I'm feeding you. I don't like taking the half-assed route—and I genuinely believe you can taste the difference.
Ingredients, packaging, gas and groceries have all gotten more expensive, but my time and skill have value too. I'm finally learning to account for that.
So I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not giving up elaborate cakes. ❤️ I'm just trying to build Comfort & Joy in a way that lets me keep giving you the quality and love you've come to expect without running myself into the ground to do it.
Thank you for trusting me with your birthdays, celebrations, cravings and weird-ass cake ideas. Please keep the weird ones coming.
Just know I'm finally gonna charge you appropriately for them. 😂❤️

I know I’ve been pretty quiet lately. There’s been a lot going on, and I’ve been hesitant to talk about this publicly, but I think I’m finally ready.
A couple of weeks ago, I had a TIA — a mini-stroke.
And that fu***ng scared me.
I’ve been struggling emotionally and mentally ever since, while also carrying some incredibly heavy things happening around me. Somewhere in all of it, I realized I have to figure out how to balance being a mom and wife, taking care of the people I love, running a business, and still taking care of Joy.
So… I’m baking my way back to my happy place.
And also baking my way through a nasty hospital bill, because apparently having a mini-stroke is expensive. 😂
That means you’re probably going to see me posting a LOT of treats. New things. Creative things. Some healthier, lower-sugar and keto-friendly options as I figure out what makes my body happy, too.
And then some absolutely ridiculous chocolate-covered, butter-filled monstrosity because, hi. I’m Joy. 😂
I’m also learning to say no. If I turn down a highly decorated cake or something I know will overwhelm me, please don’t take it personally. I want Comfort & Joy to be successful, but I’m not willing to burn Joy to the ground to make Comfort & Joy work.
So once again, I’m asking y’all to rally for me. ❤️
Westside Market is stocked, more is coming this week, and I’m working on a new grab-and-go weekly drop idea that I’m really excited about. The first place I’m going to test it is the hospital that took care of me during that huge scare.
So saddle up, friends. Apparently we’re figuring out happiness, health, harmony, and what the hell comes next together.
And obviously, there will be snacks. ❤️
