Welp! I did it.. finished reading the entire Bible in a year! The Bible Recap Podcast. It has changed my life.
God knew I would need to know Him. He knew I would need to have a firm foundation on Him when the events of this past year happened.
Reading everyday and looking for God in each reading, retrained my brain. It made me look for Him every day, not just in His word but in my life.
I started this journey as someone just wanting to learn everything I could to be aligned in my calling. And what I got has been so much more.
This Bible recap allowed me to be physically, mentally, and emotionally present and in tune with God’s character while my mom died. I looked at what He was revealing to me during that time while I took care of her up until her last breath on this earth with us. It showed me that God never changes but we do! It made me excited for the victory that God would achieve through my suffering. How He would shame my enemies and celebrate with me when He did!
He taught me how to give it to Him. Not just “give it to Him” but whole heartedly, surrender it to Him. Whether it was on a long drive from NC to Michigan or on the living room carpet crying so hard snot and carpet fibers were filling my lungs, the surrend would leave a peace that surpassed understanding.
He taught me to pray with truth. Truth is equal to light and when you bring the truth into the darkest situation it removes the dark.
He taught me How much He loves me through Christ. He is still teaching my how to hold my tongue and not use anger to react (this one is going to be a lifetime goal)
He’s teaching me daily that preaching the gospel and discipleship doesn’t look like a pulpit for me but loving people anyway. Even when they upset me or make me mad. Even when they don’t do the right thing. Loving them whether it’s for a moment, a year or a lifetime.
He is teaching me how important character is to Him, knowing His character specifically!
He reminds me constantly that His love for us far exceeds anything we could ever imagine here on earth.
We are flawed, broken… But we are loved and created in His imagine. God does not make mistakes, but he loves us even when we do.
You can’t trust a God you don’t know. I can’t say I know everything about God but I will continue to seek to learn more about Him everyday of my life.

I’m grateful the Lord never gave up on me. he hasn’t given up on you. If someone you died wrote a book to you wouldn’t you want to read it everyday? This is no different! In the pages of this book lie Gods living breathing words for YOU. He wants to speak to you so open the books and watch as His message comes to life and transforms your life as it does!
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
