Spot price is just the raw metal price.

When you buy physical gold or silver, you pay:

Spot + Mint Premium + Dealer Premium

Almost all dealers pay spot + a premium when buying from mints or distributors — especially on new products.

If you see super low premiums or even below spot?

It’s usually secondary market (bought from the public at a lower price).

Premiums can also move daily with volatility — so waiting for the “perfect dip” isn’t always as simple as it sounds.

The goal isn’t perfect timing.
It’s getting your hands on actual physical gold and silver when you can afford it!

Gold and silver are experiencing significant volatility right now.

In my opinion, much of this short-term movement reflects activity in the paper market (futures/leveraged trading) more than physical supply.
Today, after speaking with our distributors, we were told they are effectively sold out—they have very little (if anything) available that isn’t already allocated to customers.

Two possible outcomes:
• Paper and physical pricing detach further
• Physical tightness forces repricing higher to bring supply back to market

If you’re purchasing physical, it’s important to track availability, delivery times, and premiums—not just “spot.”
