A little Neon Nep appreciation because I love seeing these all lined up together.

The tiny fluorescent neps add just enough extra chaos to the Mostly Ghostly colorways, especially when they pop against the black and purple.

Halloween knitting season is here and I am very, very ready for it.

When I dyed Ebi, I knew immediately that I wanted to use it for the Carved Pullover by Emily Haver.

I’m thrilled with how the colorway knitted up, but I’m equally happy with the fabric Floofy DK created. It’s soft and smoooshy with such a delightful drape, and I already know I’m going to wear this one a lot.

Of course, it’s still in the 90s here in Florida, so actually wearing it will have to wait. For now, I’m counting the days until sweater weather.

A few things quietly landed in the shop this weekend.

Get Your Wallet, Bub is brand new, a moody, muted purple joining the lineup for the first time. And a few familiar favorites are back, too: Because I'm Hoppy, Crazy in Love, You Jump, I Jump, Googley Bear and Fawkes.

The spooky speckles of Mostly Ghostly. 👻

These four may not be the loudest members of the collection, but they might be the most useful.

Violet Femmes brings the purple, Ebi adds just a little bit of orange, and Newsprint and Black Tie are my black-and-white opposites.

I love each of them on their own, but I dyed them knowing they could play well with so many of the other Mostly Ghostly colorways, too. Solids, variegateds, colorwork, stripes, heels and toes…there are a LOT of possibilities here.

And Newsprint + Black Tie together? 🖤🤍 Yes, please.

The Mostly Ghostly minis are officially all dressed up and ready to go. 👻

There is something very satisfying about seeing all nine of these little guys lined up together after spending so much time thinking about them as individual colorways.

Some are old favorites, some are brand new, one was inspired by a certain green ghost with a questionable relationship with personal space, and apparently there is enough purple in here to further undermine my ongoing claim that I am not a purple person.

Each Mostly Ghostly set includes all nine colorways on Floofy Fi*****ng: Newsprint, Black Tie, Nevermore, Witch Please, Violet Femmes, Witch Better Have My Candy, He Slimed Me, Jacked and Ebi.

Nine 20g minis • 783 yards • 180g total

And yes, I may have spent an unreasonable amount of time getting them all lined up nicely in their little bags.

Apparently I need to stop telling people I’m not a purple person.

Witch Better Have My Candy is one of my original Halloween colorways and still one of my favorites. The name is, of course, a riff on a Rihanna song. IYKYK.

Witch, Please, on the other hand, is brand new and VERY purple. No subtle undertones. No pretending it’s really more blue or more burgundy. Just purple.

Which is slightly inconvenient for someone who continues to insist she doesn’t really like purple.

Both are part of Mostly Ghostly and available on multiple bases, including those ridiculously fun neon neps.

Maybe I’m a purple person. I’m not ready to talk about it.

He Slimed Me + Jacked bringing the radioactive green and Halloween orange to Mostly Ghostly.

He Slimed Me was inspired by a certain hungry green ghost who has been a family favorite for years.

It feels like 112° outside today, so naturally I’m preparing for spooky season. 🎃

This is my Carved Pullover by Emily Haver, knit in Ebi on Floofy DK. I love how the little pops of orange work with the carved details in this pattern.

Ebi is coming to the shop soon, along with a whole collection of Halloween colorways.

Nothing says fall quite like photographing a DK-weight sweater while actively melting in Florida.
