We just loaded up our shelves with some goodness! They’re open Tuesday-Saturday 10-4 and Sun 1-4.

Last week we made several post about selling options that we offer. We have even sold our own stuff using our own options. We’ve hosted our own estate sales, sold at pop up markets, sold directly to individuals and sold our items in an auction setting. Because we believe in the auction process and need to liquidate our warehouse we are selling our stuff in an online auction.

This will be a much shorter post. You’re welcome! Tonight’s highlight will be on the way we sell OUR stuff. Y’all, we’re junkers. We’re thrift store lovers. Dumpster diving?? Yeah, we’ve done that, too. No shame in our game!!
Sure, we sell our stuff when our annex location can be open but we love pickin’ too much to not have an outlet to sell our stuff AND that means I get to get my stack and pack, fluff and stuff game on. Which I absolutely love! And I’m pretty dang good at it 😉

As I said before, part of the reason “marketplace” is part our of business name is because we can offer or facilitate more than one way to sell your items. Yesterday we highlighted our buyout and consignment options.
This evening we want to highlight a couple of other approaches. First, we are an insured business and the truth is Estate sales are the “star of the show”over here at Crossroads Marketplace! If an estate sale is your preference we can certainly handle that request.
So…. what if you just don’t want a steady stream of people walking through your house for two days. Or maybe the house isn’t quite full enough for a traditional estate sale? Well, we have another solution. Now I don’t want to mislead you - there will still be people coming in and through the house but it is minimal and it is ONLY people who have made a purchase.
Here’s how it works….. we have partnered with Eric Williams ~ Auctioneer NCAL #9888. of Williams Auctions.
The process starts the same. The sale dates are scheduled, we come in, sort and organize your items then, (-here’s where it’s a little different-) instead of pricing and staging
the items are given a number, photographed, described, posted on an online auction platform (Hibid) for approximately 5-7 days. At the close of the online auction the bidders will be notified of their winnings and they will come pick them up on a pre-scheduled pick up day. Ok. I know this has been a long one but thanks so much for hanging in with us.
This next and final option for tonight might just blow your mind….wait for it….. here it is ~
You could do both!!! What!!?? Yep. Our hybrid approach starts with the traditional estate sale model and whatever items are left after the last day of the estate sale Eric comes in with his auction gavel and finishes the job with an online auction. Yes, the process is a little longer but if your primary goal is to sell most of your items this is a great way to go.

Crossroads Marketplace and Estate Sales offer several options for our clients. Tonight we’re going to tell you a little about buyouts and consignments. Sometimes a client only has a few items and that doesn’t really make for a very full estate sale so we’ll determine if we can buy the items outright for an agreeable price. This option can work if we have space, the client needs the house empty because of time constraints or they simply want to be finished with the process. Buyout items become the property of Crossroads Marketplace and Estate Sales.
Consigning items on commission is something we’ve done many times over. Again, this is a good solution if moving the items out of the home is a priority, the items are few and we have space. The items will then be staged and sold at our annex location on Doubs Chapel Rd. Moving your items can be done relatively quickly in either instance. However, selling them on consignment can be a much longer process because we simply can’t be open consistently due to our estate sales.
These are just a couple of possibilities we can offer. Tomorrow we’ll fill you in on our estate sale process. Bottom line?? We are committed to finding the best solution for you.

Hey there! Stephen and Charity Blanchard here from Crossroads Marketplace and Estate Sales. Yeah, we clean up pretty good, huh?
Throughout our 36 years of married life together God has given us many “beauty for ashes” moments. How this business started is no exception. It started when my grandmother died in 2014 and all the contents of her house and several very full out buildings had to be sold. It was sad and difficult but it was the beginning of our reselling journey. Since then we’ve had a brick and mortar, vendors, auction house, booths in antiques malls, sold consignments and most recently estate sales. I suppose that’s why we’re a “marketplace” because we can offer a variety of solutions. Although, onsite estate sales tend to be our preferred way of selling, our experience allows us to explore other selling options that best meet the needs of our clients. No client is the same and no sale should be the same either.
Over the next few days you’ll learn more about what we offer, places we sell our own stuff, changes that are coming and a “LIVE” at the end of the week. Thanks for your support and following along!

Happy Sunday y’all and welcome home to us!
We’ve been MIA because we have been in Hawaii since June 23rd visiting our oldest son and his family. We were so blessed to be able to be Papa and Tutu (in person) for 17 days. Sure, Hawaii is absolutely beautiful but its beauty doesn’t compare to the time we had with our son, his incredible wife and our delightful grandchildren. Our hearts are full.

Since we’ve been gone for a bit we thought we’d take the next few days to reintroduce ourselves and our business to those who have been around awhile and to any newcomers.
