The “National Parks Service” is the most nerve wracking part of this piece. To get it all lined up, centered and straight is a game of roulette! 🤣 But we nailed it. Epoxy has been poured in the arrow to keep the sidewalls nice and strong. Once that cures, I just need to stain the back of the board and clear coat the whole thing 🩷

Made it back into the shop today for a little bit to finish up a project I started a long time ago. We have been a little busy fallin’ in love with our new daughter.

🌺 Meet Ruth, named after my mother-in-law who passed away in 2023. She arrived from Missouri a few weeks ago and we are soaking it all in. 🌺

We aren’t quite ready to reopen our Etsy shop just yet, but we’ve still been busy creating!

In the meantime, our newest Rocky Oaks & Co. apprentice, Zoey, has been putting her creativity to work making beautiful custom horse stall signs for her fellow equestrians. Each sign is handcrafted from pine wood, hand-painted, and finished with a rustic farmhouse charm.

Zoey is a proud 2026 graduate of Eatonville High School and the very first apprentice to join the Rocky Oaks & Co. team. With a passion for crafting and a natural creative spirit that began in early childhood, she has always enjoyed bringing ideas to life with her hands.

Whether she’s designing, building, or adding the finishing touches to a project, Zoey’s attention to detail and artistic eye shine through in everything she creates. When she’s not in the workshop, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her greatest passion—horses.

As the newest member of Rocky Oaks & Co., Zoey is excited to learn new skills, grow as a craftsman, and help create the handcrafted, one-of-a-kind products our customers love. Please forgive us as we are going to stay closed for a while. We are preparing for our new arrival and this soon to be mama, again, is in her nesting phase! It’s been almost 20 years since we have had a newborn in our home so we have been working hard to get things ready for her. I will share her adoption story at a later time. It was definitely unexpected, but we are looking forward to her joining our family.

I am making a contact list of people reaching out for game boards so when I am back in action I can fill those requests.

Shop Announcement: 📣

I won’t be taking any new orders for a little while and my Etsy shop is on vacation mode. We had a death in the family and have a lot of hurdles that are going along with that so I just need to take a little break while we navigate this.

I appreciate all of my customers and the loyalty. I will be back in a few weeks hopefully 🤞🏻
