Today is World Gin Day! (It’s also hot outside and there’s a ton of things going on, so we’re recycling a post from 2 years ago that still works today. 😎)

“Beat the heat with minimal effort…make a Gin Rickey!

Refreshingly bubbly and pleasantly tart, the Gin Rickey is remarkably simple to assemble, which makes it perfect for those hot summer days when you don’t want to ‘overexert’ yourself.

Grab a tall glass. (You’re supposed to use a highball glass, but digging one out of the cupboard might be too much in this heat….)

Stuff the glass full of ice. (Yes, jam as much ice in there as possible…it’s melting faster than you think in this heat.)

Pour 2 oz of SND Gin in there with the ice.

Cut a lime in half and squeeze all that fresh lime juice in there. (Really? You want an exact amount? Fine. Go with 1/2 oz.)

When you’re done squeezing the lime, go ahead and drop the lime shell in there, too. That’ll be your garnish. (I know we cut fancy lime wheels for the photo, but that takes effort. You don’t want to do all that work in this heat, do you?😉)

Top the glass off with club soda.

Done.

Told you it was easy! Now, find some shade and enjoy thirst-quenching refreshment.”
