Vulnerability post. 🤍
Someone told me this morning “Owning your own business must be amazing and refreshing!”
Today, The Mason Bar Company has made $64.
One order, Thats it.
We usually share the pretty stuff — the new products, your beautiful orders, busy market days, new launches, and all the exciting parts of running MBC.
But this is part of small business, too.
Running a small business is HARD.
Some days we win. Some days the orders are rolling in faster than we can keep up. And other days… we refresh the website wondering if something is wrong. 😅
What people don’t always see behind that $64 day is that the expenses don’t stop when the orders do.
There are still supplies to purchase, inventory to stock, website fees to pay, products to make, photos to take, emails to send, social media to post, orders to pack — and a family depending on this little business we’ve worked so hard to build.
I’m not sharing this for sympathy or to make anyone feel obligated to order.
I’m sharing it because this is small business.
It’s exciting. It’s exhausting. It’s rewarding. And sometimes it’s downright discouraging.
But that one order today mattered. Someone chose MBC. Someone chose handmade. Someone chose to support our family and this dream — and I will never stop being grateful for that. 🤍
So today might be a $64 day.
Tomorrow, we wake up, make another post, create something new, pack everything up for the next event, and try again.
Because that’s what small business owners do. 💪🏼
Thank you to every single person who shops, shares, comments, likes, recommends us to a friend, or simply cheers MBC on. It matters more than you probably realize.
🛍️ Shop small. Support small.
